I don’t see any reason for the Democrats not voting for Boehner. He has done more for the Democrats as Speaker then he done for the Republicans. Boehner has caved on damned near every issue and Obama walks over him like a piece of trash. We need a fighter, put Bachmann in that position and see if Obama will walk over her.

The only way I’m gonna accept a Boehner re-election is if enough Dems voted for him to sabotage the selection. If I find out a majority of GOP squishes put him back in, I’m done with the GOP permanently.

If nobody else wants the Speaker job, that’ll speak volumes about the lack of spine in the entire Republican Party. No wonder we can’t get a viable presidential candidate these days. Come on, Bachmann, woman up!

More than 70% of Americans identify themselves as Christian.
There are many taboo declarations one can make in this country – and ‘I’m a Christian’ isn’t one of them.

If I was Boehner I would tell them to take that job and shove it. I mean it…none of the people complaining about Boehner had any better ideas…they could not and did not pass any viable alternatives. They did not go for the Plan B or come up with anything in its place..they grandstand, they complain, the give speeches, they go on conservative media and run their mouths but they can not govern in any rational way. I am just sick of hearing them whine and play the victim all the time. I really am. They got 98% of the Bush tax cuts made permanent and the sequester pushed back 2 months..that gives them a chance to push for spending cuts without the specter of raising taxes hanging over their heads

…and what do we hear? Piss moan whine. Sheesh.

I haven’t read anywhere in the Constitution that states we are the guardians of the SOH, supposed to prevent countries we think are “the bad guys” from developing nukes, and are the defenders of Israel. But that’s the way neocons roll, they’re just like libs in that they really could care less what Constitution says as long as they say they do. I’m a christian (I know, that’s taboo to say that) and I just don’t think God needs America’s help in defending Israel. Actually, it’s quiet arrogant. The borrowing of money to send to them when we’re completely broke is pleasing to Him as well, I’m sure.

If we just take the gloves off, Israel can take care of herself.

I had to go read that. I hope this is enough of a reality check to disillusion a, shall we say, ‘fair share’ of the Obama voters. Perhaps there will be a bit more widespread opposition to his policies. Maybe even a few will realize what a liar he is.

Although strictly speaking it is no longer my concern, since my family went to the County Clerk’s office today and changed from Republican to unaffiliated; I “Third” it. And I do that knowing that he is not perfect, but he is orders of magnitude better than what we have and likely will continue to have with the support of the Democrats in the House.
