Obama and the Dems weren’t set on the tax policy based upon revenue, their motivation is a distorted view of fairness.

Obama promised to have the ‘most transparent gum’mint evuh’, but all of his major legislation has been 1) negotiated behind closed doors, & 2) forced upon the House/Republicans to vote on with almost NO WARNING before the vote.
– Nearly $1 Trillion pork-filled Stimulus Bill was quickly put together & pushed through
– The pages of the Obamacare Bill were not all together when Democrats sprung the vote on Congress in the wee hours of the morning – Americans awoke to find the bill had been passed. Congress admitted NOT ONE POLITICIAN had time to read the bill but voted to pass it just the same!
– The last Debt Ceiling Increase bill was negotiated behind closed doors & pushed through without any time to preview the bill.
– This Obama Tax Bill was presented to the House 15 Minutes before the call to vote – New GOP members said they never got a chance to read it but were pressured by Borhner to vote for it anyway!

(Remember how Obama promised 3 days to read all bills before they were signed….)

One of the new House GOP members stated he and the rest of the new GOP:
1) Expressed how DISPLEASED they were that ‘parlimentary/proper’ proceedures were being ignored & that Boehner was instead agreeing to play the DNC’s game by negotiating behind closed doors…NO MORE!

2) All future bills to be voted on must be in their hands at least 3 days (72 hours – what Obama promised) prior to a schedled vote or they will vote NO on the bill, no matter what it is.

Obama sits there saying nothing.
Boehner offers more and more concessions until he concedes to Obama more than Obama even hoped for.
As Boehner leaves, with Obama having said not a single word, Boehner shakes his head and says, “He’s good. Real good.”

Paul Ryan is finished with me at least… as he has proven he will fold under pressure from the left and the media.

Ryan has seen what has helped Christie gain support with the libs and dems(and squishy Repubs), and is trying to do the same thing. Sad.

…McCain was nominated after supporting amnesty and campaign finance reform and despite rumored flirtations in the past with the possibility of switching parties. Romney was nominated despite having been pro-choice and having signed RomneyCare into law.

Yes and they both lost! Perhaps if the party would stop nominating RINO’s we’d win one. Ryan has made it clear he too is a RINO and I thank him for letting us see him for what he is.
That doesn’t mean the idiots in the early voting states won’t nominate another RINO like Ryan, I’m sure they will. It’s total BS that the nominee is chosen before most states even get to have their primary election. The early voting states have waaay to much say in the primary selection process and have proven themselves to be incompetent morons who’ve done tremendous harm to the party and our nation.

Republican voters in presidential primaries are either very forgiving or considerably more moderate than the sort of activists who read righty blogs

It is quite simple. Republicans want to win. And they are told non-stop that the only way to win is by nominating the mini-statist who doesn’t promote or propose free market and individualist policies and principles.

This, despite all evidence to the contrary that these unprincipled politicians never win because they can’t form a coherent argument as to why anyone should actually vote for them. It’s like the Democrats and their statism/socialism – this time it will work because they are in charge, despite the long history of failure (and corpses).

Let the Democrats introduce, amend and vote, instead of these faux crises where people “reluctantly” vote in order to “save the country from greater pain”. That’s entirely BS and, now, we will see who supports what.
