This is a very good link.

And, yeah, I'm a crazy 2nd Amendment libertarian who thinks MGs should be legal and I agree with the media here.

You shouldn't be prosecuted for simple possession with no criminal intent. How neat is that?

Lies covering lies, indeed. What we know: (a) a named DC police official -- from the people responsible for enforcing the law -- told Gregory he could not have a 30 round magazine in DC. (b) some unnamed person in some unknown capacity in the DC police allegedly told another unnamed official from a federal bureau with no responsibility for the DC law who allegedly told another unnamed person at NBC that it was hunky dory to have a 30 round magazine in DC as long as it was not loaded. Riiiiiiight.

To be clear, I have no doubt that by now the Obama Administration has lined up somebody at ATF who is willing to say that some unnamed person in the DC police gave him/her erroneous information. Because the Most Transparent Administration in History just rolls that way (cough Benghazi cough Fast&Furious cough IG investigation of Sacramento mayor cough Solyndra approvals cough GM/Chrysler dealer terminations cough). And Gregory is a valuable Obama mouth. Piece.

His name and face would be plastered all over the evening news. His job gone.

There is no chance he would be given any chance to turn himself in peacefully. No way in hell he could excuse it away as only using the magazine as a prop for the video.

He would be given the max penalty available, and NBC would give it week long coverage.

Its about time. We have Gregory, that liberal pencil necked geek, right where we want him. Anyone tell you this is a gigantic waste of time, tell them we computer crusaders are about to have the cuffs put on David Gregory and his studio closed down as a crime scene.

We’ll show the msm we mean business this time.

LOL. Liked the Freddie Blassie allusion.

The alternative is for us to get off of the internet, and keep our mouths shut the way we have for the last 50 years of the Twentieth Century. Afraid that all we have left is an occasional visit to the ballot box and forums like HA. If nothing else, we know we're not alone.

He probably didn’t expect any real scrutiny because he’s a reporter/commentator, especially by DC police detectives. Police involvement now has Gregory’s colleagues basically saying he pulled an innocent stunt, so everyone should let it pass.

Too bad LaPierre didn't know DC law well enough to nail Gregory to the wall on national TV.

But then, it's not possible for anybody to keep track of all the laws gun owners can be sent to jail for violating.

Gregory has certainly been able to provide us all with a great example for the gun debate. If he's charged, it will be an example of the ridiculousness of our gun laws and the stupidity of adding more. If he walks, it's an example of liberal hypocrisy and how our corrupt legal system sends violators to jail or lets you walk depending on how politically connected you are to the liberal elite.

Doesn't that say blanket requests for all licensees info should be denied?

Nothing like being excited about using the force of government against someone exercising his unalienable right just because you don't like his opinions.

Pathetic.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
