You have to be alittle messed up to enjoy something like that.. the way the guy enjoyed killing everyone in the video game.

That being said you have to be seriously f’d in the head to do it in real life.

I don’t think it’s something that you’re influenced to do. In other words, these nutjobs are already seriously messed up in the head when they go on a shooting rampage.

Also, everyone is ignoring the fact that our media intake has been violent since day 1 and really hasn’t gotten a whole lot more violent…what it has gotten is more graphic and detailed.

Last summer, met a 27-year-old man who had an old car like mine. We started talking, and one thing led to another, and I agreed to come to his house and help him fix his A/C on his old car, to teach him.

He lived with a gorgeous young woman, his girlfriend. I got to know him over the next to weeks, working through the roadblocks one always faces when orking on old cars.

I quickly grew to dislike him because he was very verbally abusive to his girlfriend. He treated her like crap in front of me and basically was an angry and abusive man, but I resolved to finish helping him and maybe teach him something. He was very impatient and would start cussing at his car, etc, when we ran into issues.

His father had left home when he was young, and he was raised as an only child by a single mother.

At some point he showed me his machine guns… a good collection, and his crossbow.

One night, after a long night of struggling with the A/C compressor, he told me to come check out his gaming.

We went into his back room, where he strapped on a headset.

He then linked up, through voice, with another player somewhere in America, to play a first-person-shooter game.

It was fascinating. I watched him enter a landscape… this one supposedly located in rural Russia, and coordinate and meet up with his on-line buddy.

They shot a man and stole a Jeep.

Then, they used the radar screen to find out where the other players were.

The dead man was another actual live player somewhere in America. He was now dead, so he lost.

My mechanic “friend” and his cyber friend then drove toward the population center. They parked the Jeep, ran into the virtual town, and pointed guns at people. These people were other players… actually live players who also were at a computer and had headsets.

After chasing a group of four men and two women through a field, my “friend” and his virtual buddy held the group they were chasing at gunpoint.

He then switched off his mic, turned to me, there in the room, and said, “watch this— this is SO F—- UP!”

He and his buddy talked the rounded-up group into surrendering… saying over the mic, “we won’t hurt you… we just want to take your weapons.”

He then had them kneel in a circle.

He – my mechanic “buddy” – then blew all their brains out execution style… laughing the whole time… emptying their machine guns into them.

The dead “people” were actual players somewhere in America, who had just been slaughtered, “execution-style.”

He and his friend then looted the virtual “bodies”… virtual blood spattered all over the scene…. got in the Jeep, and drove off…..

He laughed and laughed….

I told him that I had to get back to work on the car…

Chilled to the bone, knowing how bad he treated his live-in girlfriend, and knowing about his machine guns, and how he loves to smoke pot all the time.

That’s the story.

Apparently certain topics are off limits.

I agree but real libertarians need to come up with a new name for themselves. Constitutionalists maybe? That would be my vote.

I personally detest RuPaul.

It’s amazing how you’ll see some obama potheads support RuPaul just b/c of pot, when it reality the economic policies of the different platforms couldn’t be any further apart.

The more good people that have guns, the better. stop having gun free zones where people cant’ defend themselves.

As I was saying last night to some friends on Twitter, every generation gives rise to a few monsters. You don’t fix that by shackling everyone else. You stop the monsters. Placing the blame on any range of tools and seeking to solve the issue by removing said tools from the workbench does nothing but bubble wrap our society and eliminate any sense of responsibility from families. This isn’t a solution. It’s a dodge.

The WaPo today had an advice column (syndicated you might have seen it elsewhere) where somebody wrote in actually complaining that his wife’s office had a communal candy dish and blaming it for his wife packing on the pounds. THIS IS THE WORLD WE LIVE IN NOW. Stupid lazy people who are willing to blame somebody else for bellying up often to the candy dish.

The tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary is truly a national tragedy but no more so than the guy who blew up Bath (MI) Township’s school in 1927 or countless other examples. To think that government can assure we will never EVER have another mentally ill gunman kill 20 youngsters is it’s own kind of mental illness. Sadly too many of these mentally ill people voted for more of the same on November 6th.

I’m sick of these fools talking about banning guns and the “violent culture”.

No gun or video game makes some sick waste of space shoot kids in school.

The truth is there will always be sick and evil people.

Banning things will not prevent that.

The more good people that have guns, the better. stop having gun free zones where people cant’ defend themselves.

With something like Sandy Hook, bans on this and that are automatically put on the table.

The perpetrator of the Newtown massacre was a severely ill person, and from what I’ve read of his behaviors, he needed intervention well back into high school or perhaps earlier. I don’t know what steps his Mom took, but it doesn’t appear to have been adequate given the results. Everybody knows someone who was bullied in school, it doesn’t seem this kid was even bullied. He just shrank from human company entirely, refusing to interact.

I do hope however, that this incident does not result in negative behavior towards those with Asperger’s. I dated an Aspy once, a very beautiful girl who was a high-functioning Aspy. She was a kindergarten teacher, a karate instructor, and on weekends volunteered at a home care facility for the mentally handicapped. A true contributing member of society, with a few personality quirks you probably wouldn’t identify as Asperger’s unless you were told she suffered from it. All Aspy’s are not monsters.

I’m sure many here recognize the bad influence the Koran’s verses have over the followers of the Religion of Peace, right?

Well that’s why it’s ill-advised to dismiss any criticism of the effects showbiz can have on the young mind straight off the bat. Remember, if you don’t want your children being brainwashed by bad idelologies/religions, then that’s why you have to come to terms with how movie violence and video game violence can also have the potential to lead to something awful.

Whatever your opinions on Dr. Fredric Wertham, and I’ll admit he wasn’t perfect at everything, he did write a book in 1949 called The Show of Violence that focused on the bad effects of showbiz, among other things.

On top of this, I hope we can all agree that violence in itself is not a healthy influence and nobody who wants this to be a kind and loving world should want poor messages being sent out. In the end, I do concur that parents have a responsibility for what their children are raised on, and even what they can have access to.

If you can’t tell the difference between violence in video games (and in the movies) and real life, you already have a serious mental condition.

With all due respect to the NRA and their representatives, attempting to ward off criticism of guns by placing the blame on something else is precisely how we’re going going to lose this argument.

If the FBI wants to prevent the next mass murder, they would do well to profile the crowd that shows up on Christmas Day to watch a Tarantino gore porn movie.

LIst all of the actors that have appeared in a Quentin Tarantino gorefest. Not one person on that list has an ounce of credibility when spouting off about violence in our society. They are 1%ers that earn tons of money glorifying violence.

The NRA should pounce on this opportunity to direct the narrative about guns to the total hypocracy of the Hollywood elites.

Hollywood makes tons of money off of this garbage. If congress wants to ignore the 2nd ammendment, then they also should be willing to ignore the 1st ammendment and the liberal Hollywood elites cherished “freedom of expresssion”.

The NRA should picket the movie Django Unchained. Protest the wanton slaughter of people portrayed by the movie industry. Throw this blame game at the doorstep of Hollywood.

It’s pretty low down and awful that that film is being sold as “a love story.” Or maybe the point of that sales pitch as to that movie is that it’s a love affair by the Left with gratuitous, wanton violence. “Love,” they call that, the Left does.
