We learned from their demonstrated respect of the presidency during the Bush Administration. The difference is our critiques always stopped with national security and our troops. Considering their side prayed daily for horrific troop death numbers just to hurt Bush, I find their commentary ironic to say the least.

They are capital B, BITTER, and they need to find joy somewhere. So misconstruing, mischaracterizing and maligning the president’s tasteful and moving eulogy is, quite literally, all. they. have now. It is sad, but you can’t possibly hope to get any of them to see the light.

Exactly! This vacation was planned months ago and had nothing to do with the senator. And what is our cost – is it 4 million? Many of us can’t afford the price of a plane trip or the gas to drive for a vacation.

Grandma can’t afford the airfare to come visit her grandchildren over Christmas after barely being able to take time off from work to do it. We can’t afford to send her here as we’re paying 2 mortgages after having to move to find employment. I guess we should have waked away from the first mortgage like everyone else and put the taxpayers on the hook, but then again Americans pay more for Obama’s vacations and lavish lifestyle than Brits do for their royals.

You might also want to brush up on your public speaking analysis. A simple rule of thumb at many public speaking roles it so makes sure you don’t reference yourself more than 10 times. After that some will pay more attention to when you are going to reference yourself rather than what the speech is about.

Ed, Obama’s Hawaii vacation had nothing to do with the memorial. It just so happens that the Senator died and Obama will be in Hawaii for his funeral. But Obama gave this eulogy in DC before he left for HI.
