GUN CONTROL!!!!!

ad nauseum…oh yeah

cmsinaz on December 16, 2012 at 8:05 AM

I’ll bet that not one of these shows will tackle the fact that, had one person in that school, besides the shooter, had a gun with them, it’s possible they could have stopped some of this killing.

Secondly, I’ll bet no one brings up that the worst school killing was done by a bomber, in the 1920′s. If you get someone with this guys mental capacity, he could easily strap on some serious explosives and do the same thing.

Are all the hundreds, if not thousands, of Mexican civilians, including a lot of children, murdered by Obama’s and Holder’s Fast and Furious gun running murder spree still dead? Will that even come up, even in a whisper?

VorDaj on December 16, 2012 at 8:15 AM

How many babies were killed by abortion in the last 48 hours…?

… Where is Geraldo and what time is Preezy going to fly in and fight for the right for babies that survived and abortion again?

Don’t they have a right to grow up, graduate, and get married as well…?

Come on all you Obowma voters, what is the difference between being shot eleven times in the safety of a school when you are six years old and torn apart limb by limb in the safety of your mother’s womb when you are six weeks old…?

Then again, why doesn’t Ty Woods have a chance to hold his children close again and tell them he loves them…?

… So many questions, so many lies.

‘Full coverage’ my a$$. The liberal hosts and yes-men they have on will all be saying the same things about gun control. Maybe, and I think the subject will be mentioned only in passing if at all, will be the heroes like Vicki Soto who saved God knows how many young lives.

Screw Bloomberg especially. City shelters are banned by his command against taking Christmas food donations. Too much salt and sugar, I guess. And the murders too place in CT, not NYC. Who cares what he says? He has armed police protection and we can be sure that in private life he has armed security, maybe including fully automatic weapons.

All these liberal reporters, talk-show hosts, Hollywoodies, politicians, and the trolls here are carrion-craving ghouls. And I’m sick of every damned one of them.

And this is from a press release from the federal government:

Marijuana is the most commonly detected drug at the time of arrest. The percentage of arrestees testing positive for marijuana ranges from just under a third in Atlanta and Washington, D.C. to about half in Charlotte. Additionally, arrestees who are using marijuana use it frequently: in seven of the cities, marijuana users used the drug on average every other day during the past month.

Here’s another take from the Gateway Pundit on how the liberal mentality over decades has screwed over the mentally ill.

Posted by Jim Hoft on Friday, December 14, 2012, 7:02 PM

Many pundits today may be wondering what it is about Barack Obama that is causing all of these mass shootings.
That’s a topic for another day.

Adam Lanza

What is clear, is that decades of failed liberal policy have made it difficult to force people with severe mental diseases to be treated or institutionalized. And, then we are all shocked when these same dysfunctional individuals go on a shooting rampage like we witnessed today in Newtown,Conn.

For Your Country posted this back after schizophrenic Jared Loughner went on his shooting rampage in Arizona that left several people dead and US Rep. Gabby Giffords seriously wounded.
It is just as true today.

It actually very hard to force people with severe mental diseases to be treated because of a range of reforms pushed by progressives starting in the 60′s:

Ronald David Laing, a Scottish Psychiatrist, In the 60′s put forth the foundation of the Anti-Psychiatry movement. He maintained that schizophrenia was “a theory not a fact”. The popularity of Laing’s theories is blamed for decline in students entering the psychology profession.
President John F. Kennedy’s 1963 Community Mental Health Centers Act accelerated the trend toward de-institutionalization with the establishment of a network of community mental health centers and changes in laws regarding commitment.
Kenneth Kesey, wrote “One Flew over the Cukoo’s Nest”based in part on Laing’s thinking (and his own intensive use of drugs). “Kesey did not believe that these patients were insane, rather that society had pushed them out because they did not fit the conventional ideas of how people were supposed to act and behave.” The Book, play, and later the movie, portrayed a anti-psychiatry philosophy leading to a public displeasure with residential mental facilities resulting in further deinstitutionalization policies.
Deinstitutioanlization led to many legal and structural changes. American public mental hospital patients declined from more than 550,000 in 1955 to fewer than 40,000 at present. The displaced patients now represent 30-50% of the homeless populations.

As a result of Laing, Kennedy, Kesey and public efforts to transform the mental health care system to be more humane, to characterize mentally ill people as “Just thinking differently”, and characterizing mental health care as some form of evil, we now have a system that makes it virtually impossible to get folks like Loughner the care they need.

Deinstitutionalization policies driven by “do good” liberals and the federal government put focus on limited bad acts. Kesey wrote a story based on his LSD induced observations in one VA mental hospital. Once his story was put into film, his small example falsely characterized the bulk of mental health care as dehumanizing and made it impossible to force the Laughners of the world to get treatment.

Critics will focus on gun control after today’s school massacre.
The focus should be on failed liberal policies that excuse rather than assist extremely dysfunctional individuals.

Slade73 on December 16, 2012 at 8:42 AM

NO, it isn’t, Skippy.

A number of studies have shown an association between chronic marijuana use and increased rates of anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. Some of these studies have shown age at first use to be an important risk factor, where early use is a marker of increased vulnerability to later problems. However, at this time, it is not clear whether marijuana use causes mental problems, exacerbates them, or reflects an attempt to self-medicate symptoms already in existence.

Chronic marijuana use, especially in a very young person, may also be a marker of risk for mental illnesses – including addiction – stemming from genetic or environmental vulnerabilities, such as early exposure to stress or violence. Currently, the strongest evidence links marijuana use and schizophrenia and/or related disorders. High doses of marijuana can produce an acute psychotic reaction; in addition, use of the drug may trigger the onset or relapse of schizophrenia in vulnerable individuals.

Most anti-gunners say they don’t want full ban and confiscation. I don’t believe them, but let’s say they’re telling the truth.

What, specifically, would they propose that will guarantee tragedies like Sandy Hook never happen again? Liblets all talk using highfalutin’ words back with phoney tears and faux outrage, but they never have anything specific or strong enough to stop crimes of any kind.

Worse, the bodies weren’t removed from the school but liberals were on TV, tweeting, and here spouting their usual political lines.

Liberals are nothing but blood-sucking vampires looking to feed all the time, with carefully-selected tragedies being their favorite staple.

How ’bout controlling nuts before they get the guns. The vast majority of those with guns have them for reasons other than a plan to go out and commit mass mayhem. When we have a prezzy who speaks like a union goon telling everyone to bring a gun if they bring a knife, we have one good reason right there and it’s called self defense. They’ve been fighting a war on drugs for decades and haven’t come close to winning. It doesn’t help the cause when the regime ships thousands of weapons to foreign drug dealers, either. Legalizing MJ is just going to lead to more crime when the pot heads don’t have enough left on their EBT cards to get high again. This brings us back to self defense as the main reason for having hand guns. I’ve heard that Bloomie runs around NYC with a bunch of gun totin’ security dudes. Wonder how he’d like it if they were unarmed.

Kissmygrits on December 16, 2012 at 8:55 AM

Liam on December 16, 2012 at 9:07 AM

Every time some insane act is committed by a disturbed individual, liberals look for some inanimate object to blame, in this case the gun. The true problems are their failed social policies; their lack of a solid moral base; their ideal, Godless society, and a multitude of other hedonistic policies that tend to create and nurture these social aberrations. It’s the moral core and the conscience of the country that needs to be changed, not the caliber of gun.

So…does this mean we can talk about Operation Fast and Furious now?

Bubba, you really don’t want to start trying to use God to justify being a Libertine, do you?

He doesn’t work that way.

nice try jawk :)

didn’t see one seed bearing plant in that mix. Hops maybe. Of course beer ain’t just hops. And marijuana doesn’t cause any of the character deficiencies mentioned.

and just to be contrary. Galations is the New Testament. A testament in which Jesus had a burst of anger at the money changers in the Temple.

NBC’s Meet the Press: Full coverage of the Connecticut school shooting. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg on gun violence and control.

What is the point? Bloomburg wants everyone to stop drinking big gulps, stop eating salt, bend to his “whim”…

The massacre in CT can be laid at the feet of the our government

Last night it also emerged Nancy was a member of the Doomsday Preppers movement, which believes people should prepare for end of the world.

Her former sister-in-law Marsha said she had turned her home ‘into a fortress’. She added: ‘Nancy had a survivalist philosophy which is why she was stockpiling guns. She had them for defense.

‘She was stockpiling food. She grew up on a farm in New Hampshire. She was skilled with guns. We talked about preppers and preparing for the economy collapsing.’

… Trillion dollar deficits lead to the massacre .. but who is responsible for that ?

hope you’re not talking to me. And I hope you’re not suggesting you know how God works. He works in mysterious ways, not ways any human can understand. That’s another of my problems with the Church.

Sick of being painted at a nut because of the actions of a few lone crazies.

That’s the price you pay for having a dangerous and potentially anti-social habit. It’s not worth the risk. Children are dying so you can play cowboy with your guns.

lostmotherland on December 16, 2012 at 9:23 AM

Every time some insane act is committed by a disturbed individual, liberals look for some inanimate object to blame, in this case the gun. The true problems are their failed social policies; their lack of a solid moral base; their ideal, Godless society, and a multitude of other hedonistic policies that tend to create and nurture these social aberrations. It’s the moral core and the conscience of the country that needs to be changed, not the caliber of gun.

Before 1934 you could walk into a Sears or any hardware store and buy a Thompson submachine gun, or a fully automatic 1919a4, or a BAR. Before 1968 you could buy a mortar or a 20mm anti tank rifle through the mail. Where was the guy with the Thompson submachine gun walking into a high school and blowing people away? Where were the crazies lobbing mortars into elementary schools? They didn’t. There is another cause of all this, but it isn’t guns nor is it access to guns as history has shown us. And you sure won’t see these facts discussed on any Sunday show. Nor will you see any comments from Dem senators in red states who are up for re-election in 2014.

Slade73 on December 16, 2012 at 9:29 AM

Let me understand this Libs, the shooter was declined a rifle purchase due to gun control measures. The gun owner purchased the guns pursuant to gun control legislation. The shooter then commits an illegal act, theft, governed by legislation.

The libtard solution: More legislation.

I know plenty of people who own firearms, including my 78 year old mother–a crack shot! Not one EVER “plays” with a gun.

Dope.
