No, YOU don’t get it. Labels, characteristics and such, in and of themselves, have nothing to do with having a collectivist mentality. If you are incapable of comprehending what collectivism and identity politics are, then I do not have the time to waste on you.

The racist thing in the media, sports, and politics is way over the top and it is demeaning to most Americans, but they rarely speak out. Parker is obviously a nut job with an IQ of below 60. However, when you have a Stephen A. refering to a “black world” and “white world, in addition to Kobe Bryant calling himself the “black Mamba”, and why is there a “black caucus” in Washington. If someone else dare call himself the “white mamba”, or there was a “white caucus” in Govt, it would cause an uproar in the media, politics, and sports. You want to talk about racist, how about 98% of blacks voting for Obama in the elections, or the whining black coachs that cry racisim when they are fired for incompetence, or if you critize Susan Rise for failur, or Obama for sinking the country with $6 trillion in new debt you are immediately called racist. They can all stick it where the sun doesn`t shine because most of us in this country don`t buy the phony racism agenda

When we stop comparing people based upon their race and instead concentrate on their ability and accomplishments we will have gotten somewhere.

RG and Luck are both exciting QBs with very different styles. It’s going to be fun watching both over their careers.

Everyone he knows thinks only in terms of identity, and I am sure that the only thing he will ever see again when it comes to you is a certain identity. You see how what Rob Parker did is actually something we all do, but because he did it through race you’re having a meltdown.

My point is precisely about the “something we all do” in terms of identity politics and putting people in groups. As a gay woman who happens to be a conservative – because I am a staunch individualist – I know firsthand what it is like to be pegged in a group and lectured about what opinions I *should* have because of my gender and orientation. It’s all bullcrap! Each of us needs to be cognizant of the fact that we are all INDIVIDUALS, first and foremost, and not neat, uniform little bricks in the wall of our respective groups.

In a news conference yesterday cited in USA Today, Griffin, an African-American, said, “For me, you don’t ever want to be defined by the color of your skin. You want to be defined by your work ethic, the person that you are, your character, your personality. That’s what I’ve tried to go out and do.” He continued, “I am an African-American in America. That will never change. But I don’t have to be defined by that.’’
