Awkward vid of the day: Barbara Walters asks Chris Christie if he’s too overweight to be president

I hardly even know what to say about this one.
Christie seems to take it pretty well — he’s never really been much for political correctness or beating around the bush — and basically just dismisses the question, shooting back that his weight hasn’t impeded his ability to work vigorous 18-hour days in the crisis-management wake of Hurricane Sandy (his popularly-received-in-New-Jersey handling of which he’s clearly missing no opportunity to tout, as he still has to win his gubernatorial election in 2013).
Other than that, though, this is kind of a non-sequitur for me, so I’ll just pose a couple of questions for you guys. Are people saying that Christie couldn’t be president because of his weight? I’m sure it would’ve come up eventually, given that he’s obviously keeping a weather eye on a 2016 run for the GOP presidential nominee, but I didn’t realize we had already started down that road, and I can’t see that it’s done anything to hamper his political career so far. And another thing: Christie doesn’t sound offended, but was it a legitimate question, or was it a little too shallow/beyond the pale? Could an interviewer ever get away with asking such a thing of a woman politician (although, Walters apparently asked Hillary Clinton about her hairstyle for the same series, so, wash?), or is it Christie’s candid and bombastic personality that makes it okay? Or do we all just need to stop being so dang sensitive about this type of thing?

Sean Hannity had the drone operator who flew over Benghazi the night of the attack call into his show yesterday. The drone operator says there should still be tape of what the drone recorded from the attack on the consulate and he’s surprised no one has filed a Freedom of Information Request (FOIA) to get it. He said it would absolutely clear up that this was indeed was an attack and not an out-of-control protest. In fact, he said as soon as Susan Rice came out and blamed the protest, he knew they were lying about what they saw. He said it was way to complex to be anything other than a terrorist attack on the consulate.

we already know who barry is. We saw him in action wrt Ft. Hood. Doing his stand up routine, before talking about the killing. We know who this guy is.

Be back again. I’m going to go get a bowl of ice cream with chocolate syrup on there and think about ways to reduce the amount of refined sugar in my diet. I don’t have any whipped cream, so it’s not really a sundae. Close though.

I think she and Obama have done their best to give themselves deniability by saying they were in bed at the time of the attack. They’ll try to shift all of the responsibility to underlings.
If I worked for them I’d be very nervous now. If they didn’t care about those people at the consulate… they won’t hesitate to ruin the lives and careers of those who work under them.

Reality check – nothing will come of tomorrow’s hearings, nothing…except that Obama may throw Hillary under the bus. Two things:
1. He’d have a hard time deciding between Biden and Hillary. He and Moochhell really, really, really hate the Clintons. Never let anyone fool you otherwise.
2. He needs Deval Patrick or Corey Booker (but he’s still in the dog house) as front men, or to run Mooch, so as to not have to deal with the 22nd.
