Video: Steven Crowder gets the full union-thug experience

posted at 4:01 pm on December 11, 2012 by Allahpundit

When I saw his tweet this morning, I wondered if he had oversold what happened. Nope. Not only does one guy start throwing roundhouses, another yanks him back hard by his jacket collar and seems ready to jump him before people around them step in. A third guy curses him out and looks like he’s moments away from making a move of his own before Crowder backs off to cool him down. Why? Because the state decided they shouldn’t be able to force people to join their organization as a condition of employment. I’m not sure why they’re worried about that, frankly; given their tactics, who’d dare take a job working alongside these cretins while refusing to unionize? This is their version of an anti-RTW ad: If you’re thinking of exercising your freedom of association, make sure you think carefully. And not a single Democratic pol will say a word about it, beyond the most perfunctory “of course I deplore violence but…” statement wrung from their press team.

You might see this clip on Fox News today. Smart money says you won’t see it anywhere else. Exit question: When was “democracy” redefined to mean “doing whatever unions want”?

Update: Presented without comment:

“This is just the first round of a battle that’s going to divide this state. We’re going to have a civil war,” Hoffa said on CNN’s “Newsroom.”

Happened to me (on camera) at the White House Ellipse in 1998. Chicago thug sucker punched me for yelling “Boring!” at their lamoid Clinton anti-impeachment rally.

National Park Police just stood there and let it happen.

But let someone drop a baloney sandwich next to a mosque and Federal hate-crime police investigations will ensue.

The video would be much more compelling and would break through the media firewall if Mr Crowder had been carrying some skittles and iced tea. His innocence would be undeniable.

And it lost, right? It just seems to me that the Left should have bought a clue and certainly don’t have a leg to stand on in the argument that they have been left out of the democratic process. Or do you think the proposal on the ballot would have passed if it had not been so far reaching?

Cindy Munford on December 11, 2012 at 4:29 PM

It lost. It lost big: 57% to 42%. It lost because it called for an amendment to the constitution, I believe. I also think it lost because the usual numbnuts that were bussed to the polls only voted for president and the candidates but weren’t instructed on how to vote on the proposals. On the other hand, I believe all but one of the proposals went down in flames and they all called for amending Michigan’s constitution. At least two of them dealt with union issues. Maybe people are union fatigued. Only 18% of Michigan’s work force it unionized, so it’s a possibility.

terryannonline on December 11, 2012 at 4:24 PM

Actually a very smart move by Crowder, since in places like Lansing the unions own the cops and the courts. Had he engaged and one of these thugs got hurt, he would have found himself in jail, they claiming that he started it. By showing his palms, captured by the video, he took that tool out of their toolboxes.

Yeah, you see, the AFP tent flipped the union protestors the bird and it hurt their widdle feelings and they started crying. At that point, the women and children inside of the tent rushed out and started shouting “Nan-nan-nan-boo-boos! Union men wear tutus!”

Of course, this made the big, nice, union men cry even more so the tent decided to move its poles on its own and collapse on the union protestors to mess up their hair-dos and and break their purse straps.

The toddler-bullies yelled, “Daddy, come quick! These weak and whiny union men are so fat that we couldn’t give them wedgies by ourselves. We need you to do it!”

Well, the toddler-bullies’ daddies were in the carpark meeting with Steven Crowder to schedule the next meeting of the Michigan Chapter of the VRWC. When the daddies ran over to start torturing the symbols of real America, Crowder decided to go with them hoping that they would carry the sweet Trumka-like union brothers over to the Port-a-Potties so that he could film them sticking the heads of the representations of all that is good and holy in shyt. It was all going to be in jest — everyone knows that only Tea Party shyt stinks!

Anyway, a teething toddler-bully coldcocked the innocent union man and when the latter “stood his ground” and tried to defend himself, Crowder, purposefully — because he wants to hire Mark Levin’s Landmark Legal Foundation and destroy the union under a civil RICO suit just like the National Organisation for Women did to some pro-life groups — threw his face into the angelic union protestor’s fist.

With apologies to Erich Segal — and Al and Tipper Gore — Progressivism means never having to say you’re sorry.

What is particularly ironic about this is that if Prop. 2 never existed this legislation probably would never have been brought up. they were peacefully camping in the tent when the demonstrators came by.

sesquipedalian on December 11, 2012 at 4:47 PM

Just like the Occupy brats were just camping out on Wall Street, because the local KOA was full up.

Do you enjoy getting spanked on this site?

CurtZHP on December 11, 2012 at 4:50 PM

Well there is a tendency to look for confirmation of bias at every opportunity. I hate Bolshevism and unionism, and I recognizse I have a bias to view these people as thugs and goons. But every once in a while I find evidence that my bias is completely correct.

Ted Torgerson on December 11, 2012 at 4:50 PM

there are forms of violence i actually condone.

steebo77 on December 11, 2012 at 4:51 PM

i don’t condone violence, but seeing mr. chowder get punched in the face is strangely satisfying. anyway, he went there like an idiot to provoke a bunch of angry middle-age males. wtf was he thinking?

sesquipedalian on December 11, 2012 at 4:41 PM

That stupid black man, provoking a bunch of angry males, he deserved to be lynched by the KKK, antagonizing them like that. WTF has he thinking?

Jim Treacher on December 11, 2012 at 4:51 PM

You have to admit that companies and corporations have made some really stupid contract deals with unions.

Cindy Munford on December 11, 2012 at 4:44 PM

They had no choice. Closed shops, blessed by our idiot courts, gave much of the actual control and ownership of the private companies over to the unions. Un-Consitutional takings … but that’s what we’ve been subjected to and the companies had to deal with it. Further, the unions colluded in their “bargaining” across companies and across nations – both of which private companies were legally constrained from doing. The idiocy is so bad that Ford has to negotiate with the unions who are actual shareholders of their domestic competitor and the Italian company.

Yeah, the right to peaceably assemble is only granted to those who properly genuflect to the all powerful leftist agenda.

You can’t use logic with a libtard, Jim. You would have to perform a cranial-rectum separation procedure before they could even hear you.

Me too – people as stupid as you are should not be allowed to breathe and bread. It’s dangerous for ‘humanity’.

And, ANOTHER one proves the truism: “When it comes to the actions of The Left, The Right ‘made them do it!’”

According to RFK, Jr, who was really responsible for JFK’s a.s.s.a.s.sination?

A. Lee Harvey Oswald

B. The Right and their “toxic vitriol”

Answer: B…even though A, who was a well-known Communist and had once defected to the Soviet Union, had attempted to a.s.s.a.s.sinate Gerneral Edwin Walker, an actual real-life member of the John Birch Society and charter member of the Conspiracy Theorists of America.

Make sure to read the comments. Some of the posters actually remember where they were when the “extreme right-wing killed Kennedy.”

Who or what was responsible for the massacre in Tuscon?

A. Jared Loughner

B. A plus his parents, the police, his school, and society for failing to address his paranoid schizophrenia.

C. A + B plus The Left for demanding that the mentally ill have more rights than the community, at large, demanding that mental illness, in some cases, be looked at in terms of being a “lifestyle choice that can further creativity.”

D. Second Amendment and the NRA.

E. Sarah Palin, the Tea Party and “extreme speech”

F. Targets on a geographical/congressional map

Answer – in order of most to least responsible: E, F, D, B, A, C.

Who or what was responsible for the massacre at the movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, during the Batman movie?

A. James Holmes

B. Second Amendment and the NRA

C. Some mixture of both A & B, but with B definitely being more responsible than A.

D. First Amendment-protected speech expressed in a movie.

Answer: C, although the MSM would LOVE to just go with straight Second Amendment and the NRA. First Amendment-protected speech expressed in a (Hollywood) movie least culpable.

Who or what was responsible for the attack on the consulate in Benghazi?

A. Al-Qaeda-related terrorist groups

B. Islamism

C. The United States and its history of oppression, colonialism, and imperialism

D. First Amendment-protected speech expressed in a movie.

Answer, from most to least responsible: First Amendment-protected speech expressed in a movie, the US, AQ terrorists, Islamism.
