I saw Gerard Depardieu on TV as Edmond Dantès in the Count of Monte Cristo. He was once a very attractive guy. It’s hard to believe the way he looks now.

During my time at Russian language school with the military, one of my instructors had been a journalist in a past life. During an interview with a Russian dissident of note (can’t remember who), he asked what would be the first he would do if the borders were opened up.

“I will climb the nearest tree.”

As you can imagine, this created some confusion, so my journalist friend asked why.

“I would be afraid of being trampled by all the people fleeing Russia.”

He looks more like he ate a ship.

No kidding. I was loving me some Belgium for the 500+ days that it didn’t have a national government.

Prog: “If you hate the federal government so much, move to Somalia. They don’t have a national government.”

Now would be the perfect opportunity for them to finally make good on those threats and show everyone they firmly believe in their socialist dogma.

Its amazing how much money and revenue appears out of the woodwork when people are free to create wealth and coincidentally greater tax revenues, when they can keep it, we might as well confiscate 100% of everyone’s wealth because that’s the only way any more of it than lower taxes won’t make more of, of course its a one time deal, nobodies going back work after that, when government thinks everything belongs to them money does an incredible vanishing act.

Its all so unfair, well no, in a free society there’s no such thing as unfair, we all have the same opportunity.

We don’t live in a free society, outcomes are government regulated.
