I could not agree with you more.
But I have to add that WE have to stop our own circular firing squad(s) here and unite against Obama.

Obama is NOT A SERIOUS PERSON. Boehner agrees to Obama's request for another $400 Billion in Revenue with Tax Rates going up for the "Rich" by saying NO but we'll allow certain loopholes or deductions that only the very rich can avail themselves of (think Corporate Yachts and such) to reach your $400 Billion in Revenue, but WHERE ARE THE CUTS??! You (President Obama) must specify the cuts you are going to make AND we want a budget (the last part about the budget wasn't reported by the MSM).
And Obama comes back with $1.2 TRILLION in New Revenues from tax rate hikes on the rich (Individuals making $200K a year) and I GET THE authority to raise the debt ceiling by myself and we'll discuss spending cuts next year. Boehner says NO, McConnel says Hell No and all the MSM say is that the GOP won't negotiate with Obama.

Of course Obama dismissed the Repubs offer. If you were Obama you would to. As has been stated, going on eight years now, the Repubs have no leadership of any kind. They have a majority in the House by default--the local Dems are just more stupid. But that said, Obama, Reid and Pelosi along with the MSM control the debate, end of story. Rachel Maddow has more influence. There is absolutely nothing the Repubs can do about it aside from jumping up and down in their playpens. Boehner, McConnell, Ryan etc--surely you jest. These guys are not qualified to lead a cub scout group. In the worst economy in memory they found a way to lose the Presidency and seats in both the House and Senate. Enough said.

Repubs continue to drive on the bridge to nowhere, another of their great inventions. And we all suffer as a result.

Taking money from the rich does not teach the poor how to save money, how to be thrifty, how to judge an investment (not just monetary but in their own skills and future), how to balance a budget, how to persevere through tough times and be a beacon of steadfast sobriety and rectitude.

Punishing the rich is just that: punishing the rich.

It has nothing to do with an 'income gap'.

If you were serious about closing the 'income gap' then you would put forward that we need to teach the poor how to succeed, not punish the successful.

Man, it is hard for we who care about our country here at HA to bear this Obama-scum’s victory.

For it is really no victory for Americans no matter what their party or beliefs.

Those of you who believe otherwise are in for a big nasty surprise.

What I have written here along with many HA brethren is true: no more no less.

It is troll-proof.

One hundred percent troll-proof.

It is a sorry day for our Republic.

Boehner and the Republicans should buy an hour of prime time on all networks. Lay out the case directly to the American people in such a way that even the vacuous libs understand. Do a sincere, simple and brutally honest multimedia presentation on why the country is in grave peril. Do it on the second day of Obama's vacation so that he and America can stew on it or interrupt his precious vacation to address it.

They have to either take the gloves off and fight or just let it burn and explain why.

Sherman1864 on December 4, 2012 at 11:10 PM

I wrote this on some other thread in response to a good post by IceCold, part of which is:

A president with 1/10 of Obama’s gaffes, weirdness, failures, and alien sensibilities would have been flushed out of the WH by a landslide, not long ago.

IceCold on December 4, 2012 at 10:22 PM

Thanks to the disreputable, despicable and treasonous media.
Unless we conquer the media, the country is lost.
Will anyone have the guts to even significantly call them on their subterfuge? (Such as prominent Republicans laying out the case to the American people.)
Not a chance.
Will the remaining patriots in this country work against the media in some organized and substantial way?
Not a chance.

So we are left with a wretched, lying, traitorous, Marxist farce of a president who can basically do whatever he wants and in the most brazen manner possible- in essence, we are left with a malignant, anti-American tyrant.
And clearly what he wants is to punish America and bring it to its knees.
We are well on our way to the end.

When we get there fully, maybe there will be a relatively few patriots remaining who will give their all to restore a once great and benevolent nation.
Don’t hold your breath.

Man, it is hard for we who care about our country here at HA to bear this Obama-scum's victory.

Riddick, I create jobs and calling me a rino is a first! Hilarious.

Frankly, I am in the let it burn camp, Americans are not going to learn until they experience the real pain of it all blowing up. The point I was making is that the gop has much more pull in these negotiations than they seem to think. The problem is we are just wasting time talking about $100 billion in revenue increases when we are running trillion dollar defecits. If Obama wants higher rates he needs to pay large.

You are just plain full of crap, and you must really be stupid, too. You seem to be unaware that the Senate, led by the hideous Harry Reid, has not put up a budget in four years now. The House has. You are a liar.

Why not just keep the middle class tax rates and recut the the top rates in a debt ceiiling deal. The gop seems to hold the cards right now on the debt limit. What can Obama do if he can't borrow and spend? Or is that just too simplistic?
