They have the media in their back pockets so they can do whatever they want.  That is why it&#039;s so important for the GOP to wage war on the press.  

To do this, we have to have real leadership and Boehner and McConnell are not it.  They need to get into meetings, get their messaging down pat, wage war on the press and not give in to the Democrats one bit.  

Boehner doesn&#039;t understand what it means to be Speaker of the House. He has a lot of power which he is willing to sacrifice to look good to someone, I&#039;m not sure who.  I can&#039;t emphasize enough how important it is right now to have a leader in his position. No more ‘appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions’ and therefore, no more ‘firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence’. After 40 years of legalized, often government funded, murder of more than 50 MILLION innocent human lives, we are done.
We have done everything St. Paul warned about in his letter to the Romans. EVERYTHING. We were warned. I don’t know how anyone can look at the clear results of rejecting God and still not believe. How can you read the headlines on DRUDGE for one day and not see it? Are you that ignorant of Scripture and the warnings? WAKE UP! Smell the coming chastisement!

I don&#039;t doubt Republicans will get dinged up a bit, but Democrats will too, and they have a lot more to lose.

I see House Republicans get blasted by the MSM for about a week, similar to the payroll tax extension snafu, but the Obama and Senate Democrats own this economy moving forward, and people are going to be pissed if Obama&#039;s reelection means a big middle class tax increase.

House Republicans are also so gerrymandered for the coming decade that it&#039;s going to be nearly impossible to take it back.  If it was going to happen, it would have happened in the 2012 election.

I honestly hope a deal doesn&#039;t come, Obama is slitting his own throat here.]]></description>

In order for people to be capable of self-rule, there&#039;s a few things which need to happen... For decades now, so-called &quot;liberals&quot; have undermined everything that makes us capable of self-rule.  They&#039;ve indoctrinated our children, not only in the schoolhouse but through the culture, so that now we have generations of people who no longer have the capacity to govern themselves.

Of course, this means that our founding philosophy really has died.  I would have thought never to see Reagan&#039;s warning come true in my lifetime... but it has.  He was right. 
&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&quot;Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn&#039;t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children&#039;s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.&quot;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;

We&#039;ve lost the country.  It no longer stands for anything. The most troubling aspect of this past election, at least for me, was the death of my faith in my fellow citizen.  While one can sense the truth and the urgency in Reagan&#039;s admonition above, I just never truly believed it could happen... that Americans could forget who they are.  But they did, and all it took was a few decades of controlling our schools and television sets.

I don&#039;t know if it will make you feel any better or not, but people who don&#039;t have the capacity for self-rule simply don&#039;t deserve it.  If we&#039;re dealing with a population that is essentially ignorant, irresponsible, and immoral it&#039;s just not even a possibility.  Weirdly, that made me feel a little better, a little less ripped-off somehow.  Being a person who is grounded in reality, it&#039;s easier to turn loose of an impossible hope.  Of course, that doesn&#039;t mean it&#039;s not incredibly sad or that we don&#039;t continue to strive for better.

Going forward, the obvious thing to do would be to get back to basics and rectify the above situation.  We need to educate our citizens, encourage civic responsibility and moral behavior.  We need to root the progressives out of our schools and homes.  To do that, we must work at the state and local level.  Step one would be to destroy the public unions who control our schools.  Step two would be to put pressure on media outlets controlling the culture.  Imagine what a blow it would be if cable and satellite companies sold channels ala carte.  Kind of hard to shovel the filth into people&#039;s homes if they have to sit down and think about what&#039;s coming in, huh?

Bottom line is that it&#039;s going to take a good ground game in the States to turn this thing around.  We&#039;re back to square one in terms of Liberty.  And while it&#039;s do-able.. it&#039;s going to be a heck of a challenge.]]></description>
