John Boehner is purging fiscal conservatives from the budget and finance committees…U.S. Rep. Justin Amash, R-Cascade Township, was booted from the House Budget Committee, potentially for past votes against key pieces of legislation promoted by his party. In other words; he stayed true to the Constitution and Conservatism. Apparently, there is no room for him or people like him in this Republican Party.

It is absolutely no wonder Obama beats these guys all the time. How long have the Democrats been calling the present tax rates, “Bush’s tax cuts for the rich.”? The middle class believes they got nothing from Bush and they were also told Romney didn’t care about them. Well, let’s see the “Bush tax cuts for the “rich” expire after the first of the year and then let the Democrats explain how come taxes for the middle class are going up.

I’m sick of belonging to the stupid party.

I agree. It would be good to know which ones we need to work against, good point. From what I’ve heard Boehner purging the Conservatives (see my post above), they may not be able to keep their members together.

2014 elections are going to be difficult since we have the Dems & the GOP against Tea Party/Conservative Candidates.

Voting “Present” does not give the House Republicans cover. It would be passing the tax increases by a different means, but affimatively choosing to pass it, nonetheless.

The House Republicans have the ability to stop this, if they can keep their coalition together. If the coalition spits, so be it. Better to know who we want to trust in 2014 so we can start getting to work on the others.

If they vote to give cover to their weak sisters by all voting “Present”, it means we can trust none of them. Which is useful information, too. It just means we have a lot more work to do for 2014 primaries.

Far too many in the GOP are only thinking of themselves and their positions, not the Country. Guess they don't understand if the Country goes down, so do they. They really need to wake up and realize who the enemy really is. Guess it's hard to do when they are blinded by greed and power. They should look at history and see the end of those that ruled by those two vices.

Yes, Levin said Boehner is removing solid T.P. Conservatives from the A & B Committee assignments and replacing them. Some stood strong against budget issues. Several Conservatives have not even been given any assignments.

Mark said he’s tracking what Boehner is doing in the House. Eric Cantor is involved in this also.

This has been suggested before. Do you really think the Dems will vote for a bill that they know the R’s will vote present on? I don’t since they aren’t as stupid as the R’s. Reid won’t agree anyway. Just my opinion.

Great point, LOL The Tea Party was never given the credit we deserved for the 2010 election. Many of the Establishment Republicans worked against the T.P. then and still do and any Conservative as well.

Where was the T.P. at the Republican Convention? I don’t think they were even mentioned from what I saw & heard.

Hard to win a race when you have to run against the Dems & your own Party. Sarah Palin knows all about that above all of them.
