Poll: OOTY Prelims, Flight 4

posted at 9:31 am on December 2, 2012 by Ed Morrissey

Time for another round of preliminary polls to choose the Obamateurism of the Year! Last week, you proved your flexibility.  What will you choose this time?

Previous Obamateurisms of the Year:

  • Giving 2 minutes of “shout-outs” before getting to the Fort Hood shooting (2009)
  • Obama leaves Clinton at press conference podium on tax deal to attend Christmas party (2010)
  • “I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president— with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln.” (2011)

For more on the history and end of the OOTDs, here’s my post from November 9th.

Obamas griped that the American public just did not appreciate their exceptional leader.

The American Public these days also seems to have a problem when it comes to seeing when they are being fed a steady dose of B.S.!

Unchecked narcissism is extremely unhealthy. Problem is, we are going to suffer the consequences.

rbj on December 2, 2012 at 9:43 AM

Adds himself into presidential histories of his predecessors, screws up JFK quote

.
Does he do this stuff himself or does he leave it to his narcissist-enabling, co-dependent, worshipful staff? Just wondering ….

ExpressoBold on December 2, 2012 at 9:46 AM

Ed, You should add a special Obamateurism by people other than Obama feature to your Obamateurism column.

I nominate Jamie Foxx for his “Our Lord and Savior Barack Obama” comment. I knew Eric was bat guano crazy even back when were were in college together, (Yea, we were in a bunch of the same classes at the United States International Universities, School Of Performing and Visual Arts) but I had no idea he was this crazy.

When Ed first started this OOTD thing my first thought was that even Obama couldn’t screw up that much. But lo…

It’s not easy to narrow these things down to the best (or is it “worst”?) of them.

This gif pretty much sums up Obama’s presidency…from all the “hope and change” and cheering masses, to today.

Didn’t Chavez complain about this same thing earlier this year? Voted for the fighting for me thingy even tho everything we do is for the O.

Since there aren’t going to be any more of these after January, Ed, can you please seriously think about compiling all of them into a book? It would be much appreciated, lol.

Fallon on December 2, 2012 at 9:57 AM

Who is the woman he’s forcing himself on in the photo?

disa on December 2, 2012 at 10:00 AM

I truly find that photo offensive…but, typical Obama.

Makes me think of a line from Platoon.

“Hmmm, little yellow sister, is a magnificent specimen of pure Alabama Hawaiian Blacksnake…”

(OK…I just offended most of the loyal readership here at HotAir, and on a Sunday morning, too.)

I still find that photo offensive. He’s the President of the United States, not some stupid college kid trying to score with the little Asian girl in Math 103.

But enough about me, let’s talk about me!

I don’t need to know the history of my predecessors. I’m more important than all of them put together, and I can write my own history to prove it!

Once again, Mr. Morissey, I ask that you find someone to take up the mantle of the OOTD for the next four years. It was always the first thing I read every morning that assured me I am not alone in this once great country as I sit here surrounded by the morons, cultists, and pod people of this deep blue state. Without its biting sarcasm and wit all the joy has gone out of HotAir. Now it has nearly the same stories as every other conservative website out there.

#5….VERY tough to choose just one…they are ALL so barry.

Interesting read:

Sixteen years ago, also in the home stretch of a difficult re-election campaign, Bill Clinton faced a problem very similar to Obama’s. An event took place that threatened the “peace and prosperity” theme of his campaign — specifically, the July 17, 1996, shoot-down of TWA Flight 800, with 230 people on board, just 10 miles off the coast of Long Island.
