Just a little side note, but something that made me smile.

Charlie Batch posted on Facebook a few days ago that he had to put his rescue dog down, after she was suffering from untreatable cancer.

After last week’s debacle and then that loss, I’m glad to see he had a good day.

The name of the stadium has bad connotations for me and fifty wins in a row would be a false glory.

I am not too fond of the Raisins. But they play hard and do well in a tough game. Aside from that, M & T is a Buffalo, NY bank.

Despite not hating them, I was waiting to see that they went down to defeat at M & T Bank Stadium to give my coming week a bright spot.

Now I admit that they are facing a team with ownership that is practically an Obama fan club. If you listened to the Steelers’ owners, though, you found that they ad some pretty unselfish reasons for supporting the “Hope and Change” ticket. The Rooney family sure doesn’t need the money or entitlements to take care of them. Of course the ambassadorships are another issue.

But do a search on M & T Bank. About $600 million in bailouts and TARP money while paying enormous bonuses. Wow they had handouts worthy of GS or Ms or B of A!

And they pay a fortune for their name on a stadium and some nice boxes. Silly stuff when you are handed tax money.

For the life of me I don’t get that particular play. The ground game (on both sides) was pretty much shut down, it’s 3rd and 3, deep in your own territory and you pitch the ball backwards 3-4 yards so that your running back has to run 6-7 yards to gain 3 and a first down to move the chains and keep the drive alive. Regardless of if Kaepernick doesn’t lob the ball over his back’s head, what sense does that play make?

I didn’t get to see the entire game, but what I did see was pretty atrocious. Like you said, poor play calling, poor execution and dumb penalties. They’re not consistent and now you have to question which team is going to show up from week to week.

I think Alex Smith called that pitch-back run to sabotage Kaepernick and get his job back. What a stupida$$ play call.

Some of the dumbest playcalling throughout the whole game by the Niner’s coaching staff. Throw in poor execution, dumb unforced penalties, and clock management, and they deserved to lose this game. Would Smith have done better? Who knows? I don’t think Smith could have run the ball down to FG range like Kap did, but again the coaching staff did NOTHING TO RUN DOWN THE CLOCK. Just a pathetic display all around. These are not the same Niners that dominated the Bears just a few weeks ago.
