Please explain how Owebama did any of what you fault Romney for not doing. Owe gave no plan but “trust me” and the voters had a good chance to have previously seen how trustworthy Owe was.

Who cares? Romney can’t win an election on points. He has to campaign by saying what’s wrong with the other guy and what he can do better. He didn’t.

Saying, “Well, Obama was no better” accomplishes exactly nothing.

The biggest amateur of them all is Mitt Romney.He allowed Obama to define him as a vulture capitalist who kills people by robbing them of their health insurance and drinks puppy blood for breakfast.

No honey, the MEDIA allowed Owe to define Romney. Nothing that Romney did allowed this or even gave hints that Romney might be anything but a good businessman who loved his country. Mitt fought with all his might. I was not a Mitt person, but I ended up very proud of him and the way he conducted his campaign.

Politicians can’t spend all their time and money defending themselves. It prevents them from getting out THEIR message. Yet the only thing the Owe campaign did was attack Mitt over and over with distortions and lies and the US liberal media carried the water for Owe. The blame goes to 1. the liberal media 2. stupid voters who won’t bother to inform themselves 3. those wanting to get other people’s money for themselves.

As if Romney couldn’t see that one coming!

No, Romney put forth some good effort here and there. He did a good takedown of the bad economy under Obama. But that was it. And even then, all he ever talked about was the results of the economy under Obama, never WHY Obama was failing.

Again, instead of saying why he could fix the economy, he said, “Trust me. I know what to do.”

There were moments when Romney showed great promise, but it always came down to a promise that, “I will be more competent.” Well, guess what: competence doesn’t win elections.

On foreign policy, Romney’s game was to clinch with Obama. The most often heard phrase from his mouth in the foreign policy debate was, “I agree with the president.” Great, now national security conservatives had no reason to vote for him. And his fear of being tagged as a social conservative was pathological.

Romney ran as a fiscal conservative, conceding the other two legs of the conservative stool. He richly deserved to lose, no matter how many people make excuses for him. Unfortunately, his losing sticks us with Captain Kick-ass for another four years.

Will the GOP learn their lesson in 2016? I’m not exactly hopeful.

This was a 1980-style election. We needed a Reagan. Instead, we got a Bush.

I don’t recall that ever being said on Fox, but if I had to guess it sounds like something Juan Williams would complain about, since he’s always saying how poorly and unfairly the big Oaf has been treated.
