We’re blowing money right and left, all to spread the caliphate in the name of Obysmal’s definition of democracy. The Russians are probably ticked that they need to spend funds and weapons in these proxy wars in order to have their piece of the ME pie to control the oil and the seas. China will be laughing all the way to the bank when we go bankrupt and implode. One of the three– the Russians, the Chinese, or the Muslims– is going to be the winner takes all.

The subject is Byzantine in its confusion and complexity.

I mentioned the doubts people expressed to me about our president when I visited Russia. Based on the love of the rest of the world for him, people thought it was a conservative lying.

As you said, this may reflect Russian frustration with President Obama’s foreign policy as it thwarts them. Pray that Russia does not go fishing in the Mideast. Backing a power grab by someone like Morsi is a cheap way to acquire a client state.

BTW, why do we only mention the $1.6 Billion in aid to Egypt?

They also rolled over a $4.8 Billion loan 22 or 24 months ago from the IMF and there are other things….

Allow me to repeat this comment and link because it ties in to my 6:06 PM point.

This lengthy analysis offers a credible explanation of the shakeups in the world order. Much of this occurred as a result of post-WW II circumstances. The writer posits that the anti-Western attitude in the ME is not, contrary to the accepted narrative, a revolt against colonialism but instead a crafted effort motivated by Soviet expansionism.

The thinking behind this theory makes sense, given who we see as allies in the ME region. Our own “fellow travelers” sympathize with the Communist ideology at any rate.

As far as Bill Kristol is concerned, he is not a conservative. He sees every issue in terms of “spreading democracy” through bullets. We should heed Gov. Perry’s advice and refuse to give monetary aid until a nation demonstrates that it is not our enemy.

You know, I don’t think that this is Russian disinformation or propaganda. Obysmal has done much damage to the US in terms of our national security and our economy. However, let’s not forget that Russia is also jockeying for a power position in the ME. There are worldwide shakeups going on to establish who will be the world’s superpowers.
