Thank you M240H. The uprising in Hungary was in ’56. The ’68 uprising was in what was called Czechoslovakia at the time. Both uprisings were brutally crushed by the communists.

My parents got out in ’62, 6 years after the revolution. They never looked back and my Dad’s neck hair still rises when he’s reminded of the garbage that is a communist state.

That does contain the implicit assumption that the United States as a constitutional republic has a number of cycles left. There is sufficient evidence to indicate that such may not be the case. Easy to lose, hard if impossible to get back. Even if electoral politics can still save the Republic; in a time of near universal election fraud by the Democrats, is it a wise use of our limited resources to mount an attack against an enemy strongpoint where they completely control the counting of the votes thus having all the advantages and have just coming off of defeating us, and we have none? The particular voters we would be targeting have neither knowledge nor respect for the Constitution or country, and the three main motivators for their behavior are race hatred, desire for welfare, and tribal loyalties. I submit that in the belly of the beast, until things collapse to the point where such cannot be sustained and they suffer a dose of reality; that we need to find another target. YMMV

It would certainly be an interesting test case in marketing a conservative, small government message to minority voters. It would be a tough row to hoe, but it might provide some insight into crafting a message that doesn’t just turn off minority voters.

The headline for this article completely threw me off. I thought that the lesson from this election was that we were going to go into urban areas and Democratic strongholds and PREACH the doctrines of FREE MARKETS. We were going to SELL politically inactive people who voted based on ethnicity on how conservative governance would improve their lives. I don’t care if it is a D+60 district, we are going to make our case loudly and proudly. Maybe next election it’s a D+40 district. Maybe two years later it’s a D+10 district.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? I thought we were going to fight. Where’s the spirit? Where’s the guts?

Yep. Have to start somewhere unless we are perfectly fine in conceding great portions of the country as lost forever.

We have to look upon it as starting to reverse decades of liberal indoctrination and education. Maybe 10% this time and keep shaving off percentages.

If we are looking to do it all at once we are definitely going to fail. We have to look at this as a long term strategy and one where we will not reap a benefit for a number of cycles.

Or are we conceding this forever?

It really doesn’t matter if this is a winnable seat or not. Its more important to fight and fight hard. Just fighting sends a message, we’re not done. We’re not defeated. Honestly I never understood why we don’t contest every office every time. The libs do that, and they’ve won. We can do that too. We need to let them no that there is no place in this country where they are safe.

I think that it’s great to dream big but to think that any Republican will care anything near Chi-town is just that – a dream. If we Republicans can’t carry states like Florida and Ohio given all that the Dems have done since 2008 then I don’t know how a R candidate will ever win again on a national level (at least a conservative R anyway) given the Dem machine and the quasi-patronage system that they’ve set up. Like Rush said, it’s tough to run against Santa Claus, that is is until he runs out of elves.

Perhaps, a better strategy, and one that might even be easier than winning as a Republican would be to re-take the Democrat party. Move the Tea Party into the Democrat party and with superior organizational skills, put in right thinking candidates who would vote the right way. I know this sounds like heresy, however, I just read the inevitable, “Jeb Bush in 2016″ story. The professional political class of the GOP will never go away. I am not about a party. I am about a country that works. We are never going to win as long as they keep running the same tired old dopes and their campaigns are run by the same professional GOP hacks.

With all this negativity, it’s no wonder we lose all the time.

Consider this… if Jackson’s replacement gets 30,000 votes, there are enough republican voters to beat that. Brian Woodworth lost 181,067 to 67,396. If we can get half of those 67,396 votes to show up we win.

Find out who those voters are… and we need enough people on the ground to knock on doors. You don’t have to use only people from that district. It would take time and work to do it. But it’s worth a shot.

If you want to win, we have to do the work needed…. AND NOT JUST COMPLAIN ON A BLOG.
