Was Obama briefed that Benghazi was a terror attack before Rice went on TV?

posted at 11:31 am on November 17, 2012 by Ed Morrissey

So says John Solomon at the Washington Guardian, citing sources within the intelligence community.  Within 72 hours, the Presidential Daily Briefing made it clear, according to Solomon, that the attack did not arise from a spontaneous mob protesting a YouTube video, but instead resulted from a planned, coordinated attack by radical Islamist “extremists” with links to al-Qaeda:

U.S. intelligence told President Barack Obama and senior administration officials within 72 hours of the Benghazi tragedy that the attack was likely carried out by local militia and other armed extremists sympathetic to al-Qaida in the region, officials directly familiar with the information told the Washington Guardian on Friday.

Based on electronic intercepts and human intelligence on the ground, the early briefings after the deadly Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya identified possible organizers and participants. Most were believed to be from a local Libyan militia group called Ansar al-Sharia that is sympathetic to al-Qaida, the official said, while a handful of others was linked to a direct al-Qaida affiliate in North Africa known as AQIM.

Those briefings also raised the possibility that the attackers may have been inspired both by spontaneous protests across the globe on the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and by a desire to seek vengeance for the U.S. killing last summer of a Libyan-born leader of al-Qaida named Abu Yaya al-Libi, the officials said, speaking only on condition of anonymity because they were discussing intelligence matters.

The details from the CIA and Pentagon assessments of the killing of Ambassador Chris Stephens were far more specific, more detailed and more current than the unclassified talking points that UN Ambassador Susan Rice and other officials used five days after the attack to suggest to Americans that an unruly mob angry over an anti-Islamic video was to blame, officials said.

Jennifer Rubin calls this game over for the administration’s defense of Susan Rice, and of the President himself:

Solomon cautions that there were bits of evidence pointing to a spontaneous attack but, as Eli Lake of the Daily Beast and others have reported, he writes: “Among the early evidence cited in the briefings to the president and other senior officials were intercepts showing some of the participants were known members or supporters of Ansar al-Sharia — the al-Qaida-sympathizing militia in Libya — and the AQIM, which is a direct affiliate of al-Qaida in northern Africa, the officials said.”

How could the president and his senior staff then have allowed (or rather, sent) Rice to go out to tell an entirely different tale to the American people on Sept. 16 on five TV shows?

This report indicates that the president certainly knew that Benghazi wasn’t a rogue movie review gone bad. He had information that plainly spelled out what was later confirmed by additional intelligence. If this information was too confidential to share with the public, at the very least the president and others should not have mislead voters.

This is a full-blown scandal, and in light of this information, the press corps’s slothful indifference to uncovering the truth at Wednesday’s news conference with Obama is all the more shocking. It is time for the president to come clean. The scandal has now enveloped the Oval Office and will define his second term, if not resolved satisfactorily.

To some extent, this wouldn’t be a surprise, if accurate.  A month ago, we learned that the CIA station chief in Libya had cabled Washington that the sacking of the consulate was a terrorist attack, not a protest gone rogue.  Two days after the attack itself, the Independent in the UK reported that the US had warnings up to 48 hours before the attack that the consulate had been targeted for 9/11.  We learned in October that the State Department knew within two hours after the attack that Ansar al-Sharia had claimed credit for it.  All of this would fit very neatly into a PDB 72 hours later that concluded the attack had been planned and coordinated by terrorists rather than a mob action, or even a spontaneous terrorist action initiated to exploit a supposed demonstration.

We certainly have heard enough to conclude that Rice’s statement on several shows that there was “no evidence” of a terrorist attack was flat-out false, regardless of whether the evidence was conclusive by the time she made those appearances.  Solomon’s sources advance that part of the story by claiming that the PDB made a conclusive case that Benghazi at least two days before Obama sent Rice out to disseminate a false narrative.  If those sources are accurate — and it’s worth pointing out that anonymous sources have told many conflicting tales in this scandal thus far — that puts Obama in a very bad position, especially since he personally extended that narrative in the US and at the UN in a speech that blamed “those who slander the Prophet of Islam” for the violence.

What’s interesting about Solomon’s leak, other than the data itself, is the timing.  David Petraeus testified yesterday that he had almost immediately concluded that a terrorist attack had taken place, and that the official talking points given to Rice had been edited somewhere along the way from the CIA.  This came at the same time as a leak from the CIA that Petraeus would be the subject of an investigation into his extramarital affair with Paula Broadwell, and a leak the day before of the talking points prepared for Susan Rice, which at first blush exonerated her from charges of lying about the attack.  There is a war going on between State and the intel community, and perhaps within the intel community itself, with sources having axes to grind lobbing leaks like mortar shells into this story.

The result?  It’s difficult to determine the truth without a boatload of subpoenas, but it’s clear that we haven’t heard the whole story about what happened before, during, and after the attack.

Questioning the President about Benghazi (or anything else) is just offensive.

and yeah, the Communist Democrats all believed this when any republican was in the Oval office.

Of course he knew. Everyone has been covering their arse, especially since this occurred before the election.

Obama, nor anyone else associated with this administration was going to come out weeks before the election and tell the American public American personnel were murdered in a coordinated terror attack on the anniversary of 9/11 – and that the administration didn’t do anything about it beforehand (not to mention what they haven’t done about it since).

Subpoenas wont do it either. They’ll either continue to do what they’ve don for over two months – lie, obfuscate, misrepresent, deflect. Or they’ll plead the fifth. It will take some kind of smoking-gun leak of some high level shite. Anything less, crickets.

The media doesn’t care about this scandal. The American people (by and large) don’t care about it either.

From the first day, I said this was a fight between Hillary and Petraeus.

It’s the only way to explain Bill’s “Barry is my long-lost son” campaign work.

Hillary f’d up Bengahzi.

Barry covered because he didn’t want the “AQ Lives” meme to take hold.

Team Barry and Bill agreed that he would allow Obama pt2 TO BE SOLD AS Clinton Pt3, or else Hillary was going to eat Libya.

Petraeus was supposed to play along, but then had his secretary put out the “CIA didn’t screw up shite” memo during the campaign.

Decsions were made that P4 would own Libya.

Petraeus saw it coming, decided to step down right after Obama won, instead of going out during the holidays with everyone else.

But if a scandal rips through our government and PotP (see above) refuses to report it, did it really happen?

I just can’t get over it. These people hold up Woodward & Bernstein as journalistic gods for taking down a president & exposing corruption. Nixon was supposedly worse than Hitler for Watergate. Something ten times worse that Watergate is sitting right in front of them yet they force consciously force themselves to ignore it.

29Victor on November 17, 2012 at 12:03 PM

After hiding from the press for five months, and refusing to provide any information to congress or answer any questions, Obama has the gall to suggest that if the Republicans have a beef about Benghazi they come after him instead of going after Rice.

I want to scream every time he says he want nothing more than for an investigation to get to the bottom of what happened, when he is at the bottom of what happened.

STL_Vet on November 17, 2012 at 12:05 PM

Keep in mind this is not the worst part of this scandal. This scandal is a four part scandal in which there is corruption and incompetence in all three. I rank them in level of despicableness of the administration’s response:

1. During the attack
2. Before the attack
3. Lack of retaliation
4. After attack meme

As of now, we are seeing the complete meltdown of the idea that Obama didn’t know from day one (though he admits this) but somehow gave the American people a completely different story concerning the internet video. That Romney allowed Obama to get away with this bold face lie, sealed his fate.

But, the worst part of this scandal was the administration’s conduct during the attack. There was an attack that could have been prevented to begin with because of the intel about al Qaeda in the region and the previous attacks on the consulate in Benghazi, but they still could have mitigated all of this with a proper response while the attack happened. That there was an order to stand down and not assist those who were under attack is the reason I believe Obama should be impeached.

This is unraveling and the GOP needs to grow a pair and begin to level charges on all involved. Patreaus should not be allowed to getaway with his part in this cover up. Susan Rice should definitely not be allowed to getaway with deceiving the American people. And Obama definitely cannot be allowed to getaway with everything from cover up, deceiving the public and skirting his responsibilities as CINC. Where Romney failed, the GOP for the sake of its viability cannot fail to expose this scandal in total.

We must, must, must take over the media.

Even Axelrod realizes this.

“I’m going to spend part of my time starting an institute of politics at the University of Chicago,” said Axelrod. “My feeling is if I can help inspire some young people to get into this arena as candidates, as strategists, as journalists, then that would be a great contribution to make.”

Benghazi, Solyndra, Fast and Furious, etc. all of these are lost when we don’t have influence in the media. We must undermine and burrow into the beast (like they did decades ago).

Yup. But I go back and forth on whether taking over the traditional media is just a waste of time or not. Those briefings also raised the possibility that the attackers may have been inspired both by spontaneous protests across the globe on the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks…

But, these protests were neither spontaneous NOR ABOUT THE VIDEO and the administration and MSM have been pulling a sleight of hand on the American people. Further, Benghazi was not a copycat “in response to the spontaneous protests across the globe” or “at 22 embassies around the world where outrage at The Innocence of Muslims poured into the streets,” as some media outlets have claimed.

1. The protest in Cairo was not “spontaneous.” It was planned and the reason for it had nothing to do with the video:

* On the 29th day of June, the newly-elected Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi pledged to free Omar Abdel-Rahman, the Blind Sheikh, who he described as a political prisoner.

* On the 2nd day of August, Egypt formally requested that the United States release Abdel-Rahman.

* On the 30th day of August, al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya called for a protest at the U.S. embassy in Cairo on 11 September 2012 to demand the release of Abdel-Rahman, the Blind Sheikh. No mention was made of a film.

* On the 4th of September, 2012, Egyptian deputy Interior Minister, General Sami Sidhom, received a letter warning that Sinai- and Gaza-based Global Jihad cells were planning attacks on the American and Israel embassies in Cairo. Copies of the letter were sent to all Egyptian security sector. No mention was made of a film.

* On the 8th of September, 2012, the Egyptian website, El Fagr, posted a statement by Jihadi groups in Egypt, including Islamic Jihad, the Sunni Group, and Al Gamaa Al Islamiyya wherein they threatened to burn the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to the ground. No mention was made of a film.

* On the 8th day of September, the Egyptian TV network al-Nas, which had periodically been suspended under the Mubarak regime for “promoting religious or sectarian hatred,” aired a short montage of a clip of clip from the trailer of “The Innocence of Muslims” in which a man playing Muhammad calls a donkey “the first Muslim animal.” The show, Masr El-Gadeeda, was hosted by Muslim Salafist hardliner, Sheikh Khalid Abdallah. Abdallah has been described as “part of a school of particularly shrill religious demagogues who turn every possible event into an attack on Islam” by the New York Times and Abdullah’s channel “traffics in demagoguery and hatemongering. Abdallah is its star. In previous broadcasts, he has called the revolutionaries of the Arab Spring ‘worthless kids’ and condemned newspapers that don’t support his views,” according to Time.

Once again, the root — when pulled — returns to the Blind Sheikh and the outrage at the youtube clip was manufactured by the Salafists, the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda. Sheikh Khalid Abdallah and his network had been demanding the release of the Blind Sheikh for months. The airing of the video clip on the Saturday before the Cairo protest was not accidental. It was a strategic and planned move by leaders like Nader Bakar of the Salafist Nour Party and Mohammed al-Zawahiri, brother of Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden’s longtime deputy and now head of al-Qaeda.

* On the 9th of September, 2012, the Egyptian newspaper, Al-Masry Al-Youm (Egypt Independent) reported that it had received a copy of the “top secret” letter, which stated that Egypt’s General Intelligence Service had notified the ministry’s national security body that a jihadi group was planning to launch terrorist attacks against the US and Israeli embassies in Cairo. No mention was made of a film.

* On the 9th of September, 2012, the US State Department had credible information that American missions may be targeted in Cairo and Benghazi; yet, no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and ‘lockdown,’ under which movement are to be severely restricted. No mention was made of a film.

* On the 10th of September, 2012, Raymond Ibrahim at PJMedia.com (I read this the day BEFORE the attacks) reported the threat and linked to the site. He also translated the post from El Fagr:

“The group, which consists of many members from al-Qaeda, called [especially] for the quick release of the jihadi [mujahid] sheikh, Omar Abdul Rahman [the "Blind Sheikh"], whom they described as a scholar and jihadi who sacrificed his life for the Egyptian Umma, who was ignored by the Mubarak regime, and [President] Morsi is refusing to intervene on his behalf and release him, despite promising that he would. The Islamic Group has threatened to burn the U.S. Embassy in Cairo with those in it, and taking hostage those who remain [alive], unless the Blind Sheikh is immediately released.”

No mention was made of a film.

* On the MORNING OF THE 11th of September, 2012, The Jerusalem Post reported that Egypt’s General Intelligence Service had warned that a jihadi group was planning to launch terrorist attacks against the US and Israeli embassies in Cairo. No mention was made of a film.

2. The attack on Benghazi was not a “spontaneous protest” and the administration knew about both the substandard security as well as the credible and actionable intelligence:

* The State Department had to issue a waiver for the consulate in Benghazi because security failed to meet its own basic security standards and those set forth in Federal law.

* The Benghazi consulate had been bombed twice in the 5 months leading up to 09.11.12.

* Specific threats had been made against the ambassador, the consulate, and other assets in Benghazi.

* Increasing threats to and attacks on the Libyan nationals hired to provide security at the U.S. missions in Tripoli and Benghazi had been made during the 6 months prior to the attack.

* On 10 June 2012, an assassination attempt had been made on the British ambassador, which led to the entire mission being abandoned.

* Diplomatic cables warned of security concerns in Benghazi and flatly said the consulate could not withstand a coordinated attack.

* The Red Cross had been attacked in May and al Qaeda had left threats there on the day of the attack mentioning the American consulate.

* On 22 June 2012, Ambassador Stevens warned State that extremist groups were carrying out terrorists attacks, making threats against Western targets, and he believed that he was a target.

* On 9 July 2012, Stevens requested at least 13 more security personnel.

* On 21 July 2012, the private security contractor, Nordstrom, warned State to be on high alert for terrorist activity. State refused to renew Nordstrom’s contract on 5 Aug and replaced it with a Welsh group, Blue Mountain, which had little knowledge of the conditions in Libya and hired inexperienced locals for $4 an hour.

* On 2 August 2012, Stevens sent an urgent cable to Clinton requesting a “protective detail bodyguard.”

* On 16 August 2012, the consulate security team leaves while sending a message directly to Clinton of the dire security situation.

* On 8 September 2012, Libyan officials in Benghazi warned both Ambassador Stevens and Secretary Clinton of a pending attack on the consulate.

* 4 hours before he was killed, Stevens cabled Washington. He told Hillary’s office that there were at least 10 al Qaeda groups openly training in Benghazi and he/and the consulate were operating under extremis conditions.

* It was the 11th anniversary of the original 9/11.

3. The Administration and the MSM keep saying that there was no actual warning made against the Libyan missions, apart from those listed above. That is blatantly untrue.

On 9 September, al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahri made direct threats against Americans in Libya and the American missions in Libya to avenge the death of Abu Yahya al-Libi, a high-ranking al-Qaeda official taken out by an American drone attack in June in Pakistan.

On the 10th day of September, a 42-minute long version of al-Zawahiri’s threats was posted on Jihadist forums. In the video, al-Zawahri said al-Libi’s “blood is calling, urging and inciting you to fight and kill the Crusaders,” leading up to “a date heralded and celebrated” (wink, wink) by radical Islamists.

This too will be swept under the rug, as have Ojesus’ many and sundry offenses against the law, the Courts, and the Constitution.

The spineless Congress has allowed the Executive to become a law unto itself, and the highest court failed in its obligations as well.

The biggest failure, with the MSM being a close second, of course, is from the majority of Americans, who didn’t deem it important enough to unearth the facts and vote accordingly.

Obama was asked about F&F on that Spanish-language TV show before the election. He said it was a George Bush program! He really said that. The only question left is to what extent he believes his own bulls***. I’d really like to know. Behind closed doors does he laugh at the absurdity of his public statements? Does he believe them, and his aids laugh at them? Does he believe “the ends justify the means” so that he can say any nonsense and it’s OK as long as he likes the end result?

This was touched on when they said they covered up the fact it was a terrorist attack for security reasons. They’re close there to admitting they say stuff that’s not true.

Paul-Cincy on November 17, 2012 at 12:59 PM

Until we dig into education, mainstream media, & entertainment, we can’t compete as we should. They can gather together an always crush us. Breitbart got it, & so should we.

Lots of luck. Take education for instance. For every conservative high school teacher there are 20 – 25 progressive teachers. For every Conservative Administrator the ratio is worse than for teachers. Who sent their children to these institutions of propaganda? Conservatives did. At least half or more of the children in any give school are from conservative families. Conservative parents continue to believe that their local schools aren’t as bad as those in the inner city. Unfortunately they’re wrong. They may not have the violence and drug problems but they certainly have the indoctrination problem. We have had 24 graduating classes (High School, College) since Reagan left office. How many children of conservatives were in these classes and were filled with propaganda and bought the lie? I think the last election’s youth vote answers that question.

So yes we do need to take over in education but we don’t have multiple generations to do it. The libs spent a 150 year slow march to get to this day. The only way is for conservatives to remove their kids and starve the beast of its Average Daily Attendance funds. When the system fails take over and change the rules. Like unions that need to die the silly credentialing rules need to be eliminated. Schools of Educated need to be shuttered. All Schools of Education are modeled after the “famed” Columbia Teacher’s College which turn out progressive teacher after progressive teacher. There were only two classes in my credentialing program that I found valuable. Student Teaching 1 and Student Teaching 2. That can be done on the old apprentice model. It doesn’t need to be a graduate university class.

slickwillie2001 on November 17, 2012 at 1:04 PM

4. Finally, the Administration and the MSM keep saying that Benghazi was just part of this “global, spontaneous protests against the video.” It bears repeating that there were only TWO protests/attacks on American missions on the 11th anniversary of any note:

Cairo and Benghazi.

The others did not happen until AFTER the American Embassy in Cairo issued this statement:

The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.

And, AFTER Obama made this statement in the Rose Garden on the 12th of September:

“Yesterday, four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi….The United States condemns in the strongest terms this outrageous and shocking attack…Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths. We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence. None.”

And, AFTER other Administration officials made statements condemning the video. Here are the dates on which the protests at American embassies/consulates started:

Yemen: 14 September
Greece: 23 September
Sudan: 14 September
Tunisia: 14 September
India: 14 September
Indonesia: 17 September
Pakistan: 14 September
Lebanon: 17 September
Kenya: 16 September
Mauritius: 25 September
Nigeria: 22 September
South Africa: 8 October
Sudan: 12 September
Tanzania: 21 September
Bangladesh: 13(attempted)/21/23/September
Hong Kong: 24 September
Philippines: 15 September
Sri Lanka: 21 September
Thailand: 27 September
France: 15 September
Belgium: 16 September
Germany: 21/22 September
Italy: 23 September
Macedonia: 23 September
Netherlands: 14 September
Russia: 26 September
Switzerland: 23 September
UK: 14 September
Iran: 12 September
Iraq: 13 September

Seriously, if the Obama administration wanted to tamp down youtube video-related violence, it just should have shut up. The more it spoke about the idiotic video, the more the violence and protests spread. Some countries didn’t even see their first protests until Obama went to the UN and blamed the video 6 times.

Salahuddin on November 17, 2012 at 12:44 PM

Sigh, so many Stupid Democrat Talking Points Lies in one post. Where to start?

First of all, Kid, please read (in its entirety) the 2002 Iraq Resolution that many of your Democrats, including our current Secretary of State, signed off on. When she signed off on it, she said she based her vote not on what Bush told her about WMDs, but what her husband’s advisors told her. You remember him, he’s the guy who left his successor 9/11 (bin Laden himself admitted later the attacks were supposed to happen on Clinton’s Watch).

Getting back to that 2002 Iraq Resolution, it listed 11 other reasons for going into Iraq. WMDs were just one of them.

As for the 4,000+ military deaths in Iraq, we all remember how the Democrat Media breathlessly counted down to the 1,000th death, the 2,000th death, the 3000th death, and then the 4,000th death. Yet just a month ago, when we reached 2,000 dear in Afghanistan, the Democrat Media ignored it.

Just curious, Junior: where was your outrage when more American service members died in non-combat during the 8 years Bill Clinton was in office than have died in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan combined?

As for Bush “preventing” the original 9/11 attacks from happening, please tell us how he could have done so in a manner that you Leftists would have approved of at that time. I have asked this same question to you folks for over 11 years now, and none of you idiots have ever been able to answer me.

Here’s the problem with that element: Reagan was part of the media prior to being elected.

Better yet, why was the CURRENT Vice-President, Joe Biden, still “lying” about WMDs in Iraq in 2007?

“The weapons inspectors said he had them. He catalogued—they catalogued them. This was not some, some Cheney, you know, pipe dream. This was, in fact, catalogued. They looked at them and catalogued. What he did with them, who knows? The real mystery is, if he, if he didn’t have any of them left, why didn’t he say so? Well, a lot of people say if he had said that, he would’ve, you know, emboldened Iran and so on and so forth.”

- Senator Joe Biden, Meet The Press, 29 April 2007

And, why were all of these Democrats “lying” about WMDs in Iraq when George W Bush was Governor of Texas and when he was President?

Hypocrisy Alert! Clinton, Kerry, Gore & Other Democrats Talk About Saddam’s WMD BEFORE AND AFTER Bush Is President and Call for War Against Iraq

Salahuddin on November 17, 2012 at 12:44 PM

So, did the Presidential Daily Brief (PDB) tell us exactly where, how and when OBL was going to strike? No. Unlike the attack on the American Embassy in Cairo, were there any prior threats naming the specific target and method in newspapers or on websites? No. Unlike the attack in Benghazi, which was just the most recent of dozens, had there been any other prior threats made with specific targets named?

Should we have grounded all planes? All trains? Stopped work at all ports? Closed all malls, sporting events, and skyscrapers lest biological or chemical agents be introduced into the ventilation systems? Shut down all universities, governmental buildings, hospitals, factories and other structures with mass capacity?

Should we have closed down nuclear power plants, water processing plants, electrical facilities, and all other utilities? We probably should have shut down interstate commerce, the interstate highway system and banned all heavy trucks and SUVs, which could be used as car bombs.

It probably would have been prudent, since no specifics were given in the PDB, to order all Americans to bubblewrap their homes, drink only boiled water, eat only foods that they grow, remain indoors listening to Alex Jones after receiving a bevy of immunisations or just plain kill themselves.

After George Bush had issued all of those Executive Orders protecting Americans from every conceivable danger, he then could have sent Congress home, revoked habeas corpus as Abraham Lincoln did, declared martial law, and instituted laws like Woodrow Wilson did that criminalised criticism and protest of the government and its national security and defence actions, including making war. In fact, people making antiwar statements at their own dinner tables could be charged under the Espionage Act…just like during the Progressive administration of President Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat.

So, while we waited for Osama’s “determined strike,” we could have just destroyed our Constitution, civil liberties, civil society, and economy….thereby rendering any attack by al Qaeda unnecessary.

Yes, I’m sure that you would have applauded Shrub, if he had taken all of those actions on unactionable intelligence in a PDB. Snarkfreakalicious!

Resist We Much on November 17, 2012 at 1:31 PM

Well, if you promise to keep a secret, I’ll tell you what Obama was doing. I know because I have a special red shoe-phone that has a direct line to Tel Aviv. Obama also happens to be a better secret agent man and trained assassin than ANYONE evah associated with the Mossad.

So, after he was told that the consulate was under attack and the Ambassador was missing, he went to bed because he needed his rest for a really big mission the next day. In the morning, the reason that he cancelled his PDB (this was after his Rose Garden speech) was because the doctors from Walter Reed came to implant his infrared eyeballs, which can see through the skin and identify Al Qaeda blood.

Once he recovered, he jumped into Air White Suburban (sic) One and flew out to Las Vegas to look for the “real killers,” who had been invited and flown in specially. The fundraiser was just a ruse to camouflage his deep-undercover mission.

Look, blowing up the levees is chump change for morons like Shrub and Darth Vader. Killing bin Laden with your bare hands and being an Orenthal James Bond is for The Chosen.

It is wishfull thinking to believe a majority of adults will ever be concerned about this. If you took a poll of adults today you would find that about a third have never heard of the city of Benghazi or of the seige. Another third would know that something bad happened in north Africa and that Republicans are trying to politicize it. The last third would know where Benghazi is and have varied opinions of who was at fault.

In six months this will have gone the same way as as Fast and Furious which also had at least one American death and numerous Mexican deaths.

You’re wrong. There was only one reason they publicly justified their war on Iraq, and that was WMDs. There was no WMDs. Bush and the neocons in his administration wanted to invade Iraq even before 911.
I am not blaming Bush for failing to prevent the 911 attacks, but I’m simply pointing out your hypocrisy for blaming the Benghazi attack on Obama. They were both terrorist attacks that could not have been prevented. The only thing that matters now is bringing those responsible to justice. Stop politicizing the tragic death Americans.
