There is a world of difference. Petraeus made conscious choices that compromised his credibility. Palin was roasted by the media on all issues – some warranted, many not. But none of those had to do with her fidelity as a spouse.

Media treatment is going to be the same…..which was the point. Rightly or wrongly when the media starts hounding you and they sense no one to defend you…..you’re just chum in the water for the feeding frenzy.

Palin was left to twist in the wind (apparently) by the Romney supporters that worked for the McCain campaign. I don’t think she was prepared for the onslaught (the Charlie Gibson Professorial interview, the Katie Couric spin). Under the circumstances McCain should have resigned from the top of the ticket and let PALIN run the campaign. She was a pit bull but I guess she couldn’t take it anymore and she bailed on taking on Obama so here we are. But it’s 2012 not 2008 and it’s over and so is she.

It’s a different world now.

Heh, sure. It’s not ironic at all that a week of Bimbogate yields a couple of cougars, a couple of Generals, a couple of computers a couple thousand emails…and two MONTHS of Bengazi investigation yields , um, er, a couple of months!

States like Calif and NJ and all the rest that are incompetent to balance their budgets will just be bailed out by the federal government (and maybe even have a FEDERAL Administrator be put in charge of the states at some point).

The Amnesty bill is just a “TURN TEXAS BLUE” effort and will finally kill off the gop as a national party (since they are just a bunch of rollovers now).

And “scandals” like the Petraeus sex circus is just a shiny object for the media to focus on. Notice how you didn’t see the mainstream media hounds even report on this until sex was involved.

We are truly in a post-Constitutional America. I thought it was just hyperbole but now there are forces at work in this country to bring it down from within.

I guess a majority would rather have a warm teat on the Federal sow than have a land of opportunity.

Now there’s a question that should be asked at today’s presser-

Mr. President, if it is determined that your administration engaged in weeks of cover-up and outright lies about Benghazi, why shouldn’t you be impeached by Congress.

The reality is that the presser is nothing more than an excuse to mention that he will absolutely not sign anything that isn’t a balanced approach and if we go off the fiscal cliff it is because the GOP’s protection of people making over those billionaires (defined as anybody making over $200,000). This is the rat-eared wonder’s way of trying to force public opinion and get the GOP to cave.

I say they don’t and let us go over that cliff because this one tired riff is all the filthy bastard has offered up in the way of a plan. He needs to work with Congress if anything is to be done. Let him bring some suggestions to the table instead of simply demonizing the GOP. Until he does….. Well, think about the ending of Thelma and Louise.

Broadwell seems to be narcissistically inclined. After all, she’s got TS/SCI “and then some” clearance. I ask for what? What’s her need to know with regard to the DCI?
Twenty years ago, the KGB would have been very interested in either of them as a source. Perhaps they are today. What about other intel agencies like Pak’s ISI?
This is more than a sex scandal. If it’s not about Benghazi, then maybe it’s about a foreign power compromising the DCI.
