It’s ok. Jackson will be re-elected to “his” seat in Congress after he gets out of Prison. You know like Alcee Hastings got elected after he got impeached from as Judge on a Federal Court for being convicted of bribery.

Very true. But I am also very sure that corruption exists on both sides of the aisle. I have gotten so damn sick United States politics and politicians, I begun to think about moving to Costa Rica. I’ve never been so disappointed in my entire life with the reelection of Obama and the coming of even bigger more intrusive Federal and even State Government. In South Carolina, Richland County voters passed a law increasing the sales tax to 8%. We already have a 7% income tax rate. Government spending on both the Federal and State level is simply out of control all across the country. And, the dumb voters aren’t insufficiently educated to know economics 101. The only way we are going to get ourselves out of this problem is cut spending and grow the economy. Stop looking to the government for our solutions.

Be fair! He was probably the only one in the district that could read and write English. Then again, is that a prerequisite to serve?

I’d never watch it, but it’d be nice to think they’d act differently if everything they said and did could (and would) be used against them in a court of law.

Whoever ran against him must be facepalming! Losing to a guy who has to immediately plea bargain? Why was he even allowed on the ticket?
