Once again the Mad Jackass defeats the Cowardly Elephant.

Republicans need to stop talking about it and do it, which means throwing the GOP establishment, the zombie Bush/Romney machine, under the bus….Even if it requires a new party.

Floating Rock

Indeed. The party is only a means to ends. Republican victories do not necessarily bring about those ends--not for those of us who aren't in the game for office! It may be time to go with a different mascot--a rattlesnake, maybe?

Allahpundit, about same sex marriage, it affects anyone who is religious and does not want to participate in accepting it. Once the relationship is accepted as equal (how you get that a man and woman who naturally and abundantly produce the next generation is the same as two women or two men are equal is beyond any logic I know), business owners get sued for discrimination. Easy to understand the agenda. You just look at "love". I look at freedom of speech and action. Numerous people and businesses have already suffered from this restraint. I know you hate the idea of God but at least look at logic and reality.

You are correct sir.

Federalism IS THE ONLY WAY TO SAVE THIS COUNTRY.

Mitt did try selling it.......because he knows the commies want their central govt. Poliburo, and will sell their vagynas to get it.

A commie SCOTUS though, could kill off the 10th amendment easily.
Oh wait.....

OR voted in the month long early voting.....

That apathy along with the 2-2.5 million seniors who continue to pass away each year(8-10 million every election) and are replaced with a younger voting group- will guarantee a lock on Presidency. Hate to beat a dead horse, but if Clinton wasn't such a whore dog- 43 would have never won- and we would be going into years 20 thru 24 in the Presidential wilderness.

Here's a radical idea for the GOP: federalism.

Point out that the National government really isn't that great in deciding the great moral and ethical decisions of our day: you are.

Point out that the federal government can't live with in its means, and that for $2 trillion you should have enough government to run the US and if you want more: get your State to do it.

Point out that as all members of society gain benefit from being protected by the National level government, everyone should have to pay some taxes to the federal government on an exactly equal percentage basis, with even only the poor getting some break but still having to kick in at least $50/year with your States being able to pay for the truly destitute amongst us.

Compassion does not come from the hand of government, thriftiness is a value that is American and our government must reflect and in all cases all laws are to be applied equally without favor nor fervor to all US citizens.

The National government has no place saying to any citizen of any race, ethnic or monetary background that you are just incapable and need a break or a thumb on the scale, and that your liberty is the greatest thing you can exercise to better yourself in this life. Your States can figure out how to deal with those who have problems, the National scale is unsuitable to rendering judgment on such local affairs.

Bureaucrats are an anathema to all citizens and working for the government should not be a guaranteed life position. Therefore the most any citizen can work for the US government is 10 years done at the lowest pay rate in the US Armed Forces.

Set high level policy towards federalism.

Let people know that the goody-train will now have to be moved to the State level where it can be better handled and the federal government will phase out all welfare systems via block grants to the State which will be decreased steadily over a decade. That includes the special bonds held by SSA being given to the States to see if they can run that program based on its minimal assets. FICA is abolished. All special taxes are abolished. All write-offs, without exception, are abolished.

You are on your own.

The US government will keep the country protected from invasion and attack.

You are better suited on how to figure out the rest of this stuff than any bureaucrat, any agency, or any program at the National level.

YOU OWN THIS COUNTRY NOT THE GOVERNMENT.

THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT OWN YOU.

And, yeah, for this the Republican Party needs a thorough and complete overhaul to get it out of the 20th century. The Democrats are unwilling to move away from failures that impoverish Nations on a demonstrated scale that leads to catastrophe... that was known before we even got to the half-way mark of last century. The Democrats can't buy a clue and actively reject them at every turn. Perhaps the Republican Party can hurry through the process of trying every failed alternative and, instead, go back to what WORKS.

That is a novel idea.

The party might want to try it some time.

I am a libertarian who compromised and voted for Romney because I understood the importance of getting rid of Obama. Republicans couldn't compromise their own differences enough to vote for Romney. What does that say for my chances of ever voting republican again? Abortion, birth control gay marriage...when you choose to have government intervene in social issues, you have to answer sticky social questions that many don't like. How's this for an answer on the abortion question: For most Americans, abortion is a moral right, or a moral wrong. At a base level, abortion is a medical procedure. It is not the federal government's purview to make decisions about medical procedures or moral rights and wrongs. It is the federal government's responsibility to define when life begins for the purpose of defining murder. I believe that life begins at conception, but from a law enforcement perspective, it would be impossible to prosecute a first term abortion. Legally the federal government should define life as beginning in the second trimester, and therefore has an obligation to be the advocate for the unborn fetus.

cmsinaz on November 13, 2012 at 5:42 AM

The Democrat coalition is a tinder-box just waiting for a match.

They need 90% of the Black vote. Yet Blacks just joined Republicans in voting down Gay Marriage in California 2010. And there will be and end to the bribes that are used to buy that vote, not to mention Blacks will never vote in such numbers for a non-Obama Leftist.

The Hispanics(Mexican) demand Amnesty, yet Blacks oppose Amnesty probably even to a greater degree than Whites. Hispanics are also not on board with the radical social agenda of the New Left(formerly Democrat Party).

The Youth vote eventually grows up becoming in time, slightly less idiotic- while the true idiots don't pro-create.

I shouldn't forget that Blacks and Mexcians really aren't that into each other. We've had a full-blown race-war going on in LA County that the media has been successful in blotting out.

Blacks and Hispanics both despise the White Leftists that keep them in line with bribes and promises of loot and one day will turn their angst on them.

The Left coalition as it is now, is nothing but a criminal gang kept united by the conspiracy to thieve, once the deal is done and there's nothing further to be had- they'll turn on each other.

The coalition of the Right, however, is comprised by people who are united by a common vision, with fealty towards binding documents like the Constitution, and respect for and adherence to the rites and traditions that gave rise to wisdom found with those documents.

We hold all the cards. That's why they're shouting so loudly now. Don't they seem to be all up in a tizzeh?

I’m sorry you feel that way but I’m not responsible. Your party cheated in the primaries and even rigged votes at the national convention to disenfranchise people like me. If I am not welcome in the Republican Party, and I was not, then they certainly don’t get my vote. Do you think I am being unfair? Please explain how.

The very reason Paul should be banned from the GOP. Claiming libertarian ideas while using the GOP resources as a source of welfare but his wild eyed followers don't believe in party unity.
Why don't you and your legion of bad asses go form your own party and "do it your way"? But quit trying to act like you have some sort of moral high ground in ideas when the only connection with the GOP is for welfare/pr purposes.
On your own you are just another of the 15 third parties on the ballot that no on gives a *&*& about. Just another band of whiny "victims" claiming they alone possess truth and virtue.
