We didn’t lose that badly, Bubba. Your boy got just over 50% of the vote, so there are just as many people who didn’t vote for him (or stayed home) as there are those who did. Don’t say we didn’t warn you when unemployment is 10%, gas is $6/gallon, and you can’t afford to heat your home because energy prices have “necessarily skyrocketed.” Oh, and by the way, the IRS will be making sure you buy health insurance (no, it won’t be free), or else. Unfortunately, those of us who didn’t vote for the boy king and his court jester get all of this stuffed down our throats, so the “I told you so” will be bittersweet at best.

Lose badly? Everything is status quo ante. Obama is still in the White House, Rpublicans still control the House, and the Senate is barely controlled by the Democrats. Only a liberal could look at an unchanging political landscape and interpret it as the other side “losing badly.”

Regardless, we all lost this time around. Nothing was resolved. We’re still headed for a fiscal cliff. Sequestration is still happening. The unemployment rate is still going up. Dodd-Frank is still choking the life out of any business that wants to start up or grow. The Fed is still trying to ease the suffering in the ecomomy by inflation, which destroys the value of the dollar. Obamacare is still forcing every man, woman, and child to pay more for healthcare under the guise of freebies. Obama is still playing class warfare while shrinking the middle class and spiking the unemployment rate for all minorities.

Children sometimes learn that getting their own way is actually a negative result. I wonder if that will ever get through to progressives.

That’s the answer to my question as to why would Obama camp buy ad space on VN’s news sites and put up campaign donation soliciting ads through out 2012 there.

Also, clearly China’s fat cats and ruling billionaires put a lot of money in O’s camp.

It won’t take long at all to be back above 9% unemployment.

We ARE above 9% IRL. You know that, right? The U6 isn’t right either, but it’s closer to reality.

However, there is a rather long list of companies announcing layoffs.

I have seen several articles about that today. A number of these companies design and manufacture medical equipment.

President Obama yesterday announced he’s jetting off on a victory lap around Southeast Asia, despite a new government report warning the Jan. 1 fiscal cliff will plunge the US into a recession and drive the unemployment rate up to 9.1 percent.

The September and October BLS Household Survey results were BOTH outliers.

Put together, these two outliers claimed an increase of 1.283 MILLION employed in just those two months.

Had the Household surveys for September and October been average months (i.e. equal to the average increase in employment per month from November 2011 to August 2012) rather than extreme outliers, there would have been an increase of only 360 thousand newly employed, not 1.283 million (1,283 thousand, over three times the average), and the current unemployment rate would be 8.5%, rather than the reported 7.9%.

It won’t take long at all to be back above 9% unemployment.

He causes less harm to America there than sitting in the White House.

Half the people? That’s very charitable. I doubt even 20%. America has become a nation of morons. The results on Tuesday were just the latest verification.

I suspect that our freedoms will be further whittled away in the name of economic or societal security and few will do anything about it. I say that because so many of our fellow citizens so vividly showed that with what happened in Staten Island, NY. After cries of we are going to die, no electricity, the FEMA office closed due to weather, looting and lawlessness, major damage with next to no city, state, federal or even Red Cross assistance they voted for Obama. You couldn’t make this up and think people would believe it.

Really, the President is setting the example of not taking the Nation’s problems seriously, then why should the House? Have a fine, last, happy Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years and then let the next House deal with the crater.

Obama wanted the fiscal cliff, everyone agreed to the fiscal cliff and so the fiscal cliff should go into place. This is what the electorate wanted, apparently if you take the Leftists at their word, so give it to them. Fully. Without remorse.

I wonder what country the great “leader” will be in when America goes over the fiscal cliff?
