I think I like Erika Johnsen topics because they tend to be troll free.

Great, now I have Bob Marley’s song Buffalo Soldier stuck in my head.

Don't feel bad, I've got the one about the Squirrel Went Berserk in the Baptist church loose in mine.

/Old Dr. Demento standard

Seriously, I say let them have their subsidies. Go to the limit. Let The One and his deep-eco friends fund every single "green" delusion they have. Let them gut our energy infrastructure, even to the point of letting them have shrieking Os as they dynamite hydro dams.

The Republicans should vote "present" on everything they do.

And when the rolling blackouts hit, tell them

You wanted it. You dreamed of it. This is your Green Utopia.

Own it.

Remember what happened to "Grayout" Davis in California?

One day without power at Starbucks and their constituencies will turn on them like rabid badgers.

Myself, I'll sit and watch. Having made popcorn over an open fire.

(Unlike them, I actually know how to cook over one.)

cheers

If it can't survive in an unweighted free market climate, save it until it can.

Look at the damage done by the Big E Ethanol lobby. We've got previously fine cars having their engines rebuilt, we've got lawn mowers, trimmers, etc., having to be rebuilt, repaired or scrapped, and more importantly, we've got people around the world starving, and we've got people here at home starving because of the goddamn government and its ethanol mandate.

Sure, they got rid of the subsidy. Without getting shed of the mandate, this makes it even worse for the poorest of the poor here and abroad.

Not only will the corn, corn meal, high-fructose corn syrup, and like markets see increasingly higher prices, but so will beef, pork, chicken, and the rest of the food supply. We're already broke and going downhill, and Uncle Sugar is only exacerbating the problem, in many ways.

The fact that producing ethanol uses more energy than the resultant ethanol product will yield should be enough to have stopped this insanity from even starting, but then again, we are dealing with the Big Government Knows It All perversion of reality prevalent today.

God help us all.

Ancient rulers measured their greatness by the things they owned or the technology they spread. Often the work expressed the spirit or style of the near divine.

King Arthur's sword, Lady Pu-abi's headdress and jewelry, Judge Roy Bean's Gavel and Spock's Tricorder.

We need to set to work something with a non-powered spinning propeller to show our POTUS the regard we have for him. Something he can wear or bear like a Roman Triumph.

Maybe something simple enough for his followers to carry or even wear and support the technical genius of our leader.

You folks can find something else but I suggest this wonderful item for leader and faithful to wear to be an exemplar of President Obama and his rush forward:

Governors’ Wind Coalition

That joke writes itself.

Californias high speed rail will consume 3 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) a year by the time it's fully operational statewide.
If you mount wind turbines on top of the trains, going 220 mph, will the trains power themselves?
What happens when the train stops at a station?

Tax credits cost too much to the precious federal budget, they must stop. Also those $7500/volt rebates cost too much.

I have also come around to the sound fiscal thinking of eliminating the Bush tax rates. ALL OF THEM. The best information I can find is that the elimination of these rates and going back to Saint Clinton's rates would bring in $435 billion in FY 2013 alone. We can't afford the cost of the tax rate reduction.

Quite frankly, America needs to be spanked and going back to the 90s tax rate is a start. Sadly, the republicans have become enablers of the childish behavior on Tuesday. There have been no consequences to the democrat party's prolific spending since 2007 and hence why the public keeps electing them. Punishment is required for bad citizens.

The best part is there is absolutely nothing the donks and 0bama can do. Just let the entire thing lapse. Can't table it in the senate like Reid has done on every sane economic bill passed in the HOR. 0bama can't veto it because there is nothing to veto. It happens at the beginning of the term so by the midterms only 0bama will be blamed.

Also we need to go back to Saint Clinton's EITC which were far smaller than the generous rates of today.

OWN IT democrat party!
