We actually did pretty well in NC. We turned it red and turned it in for Mitt. We got McCrory in the Governor's mansion. We beat Larry Kissell, a particularly despicable gutter crawler and we have Mike McIntyre the Incumbent just ahead of his challenger David Rouzer by a few hundred votes in recount. We kept all House incumbents.

Look to the governorships

I posted in the Romney speech thread:

Anybody wanna guess what all these have in common?

Florida – Rick Scott
Iowa – Terry Branstad
Michigan – Rick Snyder
Maine – Paul LePage
New Jersey – Chris Christie
New Mexico – Susana Martinez
Nevada – Brian Sandoval
Ohio – John Kasich
Pennsylvania – Tom Corbett
Virginia – Bob McDonnell
Wisconsin – Scott Walker

Yep…all are states that went for President Obama, which have Republican governors. (Yes, I know Florida hasn’t been decided yet – but really, should it even have been this close?)

BTW - saw an article. 8 of the 10 richest counties voted for who? Obama - and why? For the reasons I noted above.

Be smart - use your church and local charities to help - screw the feds whenever you can - try and make your red state hostile to people who don't want to work or try and claim disabilities and the like - defang your trial lawyers in state torts. Make them keep moving to the big cities in the liberal states - hasten their demise. If you are productive, go to more fertile ground.

Play the game the way it is being played on you.

All this election did was hasten the economic melt-down we are going to get. In a sense there is a silver lining. Without the senate Romney would have been hamstrung. No way was he going to get anything of signifcance passed. Now, obama has to deal with the mess and there is no way he is going to get much done either. First, we all know 95% of the fiscal problem is entitlements. Raising taxes on a small subset of the population won't bring enough additional money to run the country for 2 weeks. Now, does anyone think obama is going to propose the massive entitlement restructuring we need-Hell no. He is stuck. The debt will be over 20 Trillion by 2016 and continue to be a huge drag on the country. When all those libs can't get jobs-screw em. The unemployment rate for blacks will go to 20%-the dummies. Talk about voting against your interest! good luck with that.

Step 1: Start to take control of the public narrative by buying NBC, CBS, and/or ABC then hiring like-minded people to provide the news. That's what the liberals did.

Chronologically, Fox is the 4th network. We need to have a reasoned voice and editorially control of at least one of the "Big Three" by turning them from the inside.

Mr. Trump . . . where are you?

The most promising strategy left is Radical Decentralization. It's time to fight the federal leviathan on several fronts - all the states. Capture the red states, and nullify all Unconstitutional laws. Make it a crime for state employees to assist the Feds in enforcing these statutes.

On the local level, nullify everything possible from land use regulations to environmental edicts.

Of course the communists will shut it down. But the strategy is a decentralized one - as many states, localities, counties etc that can pass a resolution nullifying some federal regulation, should do so. This will desacralize the leviathan in the citizens' eyes - even blue state citizens' eyes. And this leviathan doesn't have much energy to simultaneously deal with 20 or even 10 states acting independently.

Remember folks, this ain't 1861, it's 2012. There's no moral force left behind the Federal Leviathan. It's time to nullify, nullify, nullify

I saw the red/blue map. It bothers me, because the country is mostly red. But in the highly concentrated areas of the country - west coast, northeast and few other big cities, it is as blue as can be.

We are still in a war. And the beauty is, we do know how this ends - we are watching it in Greece where they are throwing torches in the parliment building.

If you haven't deleveraged do so - one advantage of Obama world is that if you are a decent credit risk, banks will give you money at incredibly low intereste rates. Remember the poor and not so well off are the ones who will be getting screwed on this - just like they did under Obama's first term. So let's worry about getting our own house in order. You probably need to learn how to use a gun and and keep a few handy, especially if you live close or in one of those big blue centers. We have already seen they don't like it when they get their freebies taken away - and they will get them taken away - we are broke.

The dems say they like the poor, which is why they work to keep them that way. Use your smarts, take advantage of being a good risk and business partner and you will do better than all the folks who voted for him - just like the last four years.

If they have the fortitude, the House can hold the line on increasing the Debt Limit. I can think of no other leverage we have. The way I imagine it working would be incremental increases in debt ceiling for (1) reductions in spending,(2) restricting the Senate's ability to modify Senate rules, (3) Adequately funding defense, (4) Entitlement reform, etc. Each increase would cover the deficit spending for a few months.
The house Republicans would have to hold the line and be willing to risk a shut-down and the heat it would produce.

The house Republicans would have to hold the line and be willing to risk a shut-down and the heat it would produce.

Excuse me, but Michigan is quite red at the state level. All state wide offices are red, the state House has 60 GOP and 50 Dems, for a 55%/45% split.

The State Senate is elected enmasse on the off year elections but in 2010, 68% of the 38 senators are GOP, virtually veto proof and filibuster proof.

Last night we elected 9 GOP Congressional House members to 5 Dem House members. Most of them are from the SW area of the state.

We are still stuck with our 2 Dem Senators, the liberal lying piece of debris Stabenow got about 54% of the vote. Not sure what she got last time. She had MILLIONS to outspend her opponent. And she LIED about medicare in all of her ads. She made it sound like the existing seniors would lose their medicare if Hoekstra won his election.

So Michigan is trying to get red. We just need to vote smarter or have better Senatorial candidates.

32 governorships, but we can’t get our dude in the White House? How is that possible?
How could we lose with 8% unemployment, 5 trillion in new debt, Obamacare, Catholics dissed, Sandy response and Benghazi.
Simple, Romney did not energize the non-core voters. Just like John McCain in 2008.
Perhaps next time, we will have a deep field, versus Hillary.

I swear I don't know how the Republican senators will be able to wake up every day and walk into the senate chamber. Agree...give them everything they want. And when Hussein gets to nominate one or probably two new Supreme Court justices, I would decline even asking them any questions. Just say "you know what, it doesn't matter what I ask or say, you are going to be confirmed. Good day."

.
Why would they NOT want to own it? Perspective required.

A failed Capitalistic society will require loads of government fixes-and require many more govt workers with pensions who will continue this cycle of voting in Government control.

The Kardashian voting masses have spoken. They prefer FOOD STAMPS to JOBS, and a President who can guarantee the welfare state.

They want this. Its Booshes fault as well....according to exit polling and they will not waste this opportunity to put a few more nails in the coffin of America.

And now we have no shot at the Senate in 2014, which is going to brutalize fundraising for our challengers. Very ugly.

The Dems and the MSM will come after our House candidates and pick off enough to regain the House for the final two years of Obama.
