Open thread: How was your voting experience?

posted at 12:01 pm on November 6, 2012 by Ed Morrissey

I’m currently in Southern California, and cast my absentee ballot before I left Minnesota. My voting experience was pretty pleasant; the only voting official was the First Mate, but she did insist that I clean my office as a prerequisite for voting. I’ve already checked in with the MN Secretary of State website and confirmed that my ballot was accepted, which is great news for Jill Stein and the Green Party.

Quit hyperventilating — that was a joke.

In response to a number of requests, we’ll offer this open thread for Hot Air commenters to discuss their own experiences at polling stations today. Bear in mind that these are entirely anecdotal and unverified accounts, unless accompanied by links to other sources. Let’s enjoy our quadrennial exercise in self-government together, even though we’re certain that at least 45% of our fellow Americans will be crying in their coffee by this time tomorrow.
