The reality is you lost. Did you not get the memo? The country is heading for a fiscal iceberg and the media is going to be sure that Capitalism and the “obstructive” GOP is blamed. The only course of action that might thwart this is to give the Democrats everything they want except a single bipartisan Republican vote. It’s a hail mary, but really that’s all the GOP has left.

Yeah, the demographics can swing against you by another 1%. Hell, I’m even for the GOP senators and congressmen going Galt. The GOP should abstain, to the last man, in all votes from now on. When this ship hits the iceberg lets make sure the country knows who is driving. Give the Democrats everything they want, except for a single GOP vote.

We just need the right candidates, not the Aikens, Mourdocks, Rehbergs, Allens or Browns but candidates who will fight to retain our freedom as fiercely as Democrats fight to take it away from us.

Despite all her admittedly positive attributes, Sarah Palin has hurt the Republican brand way more than she has helped. The woman can barely string together two or three consecutive complete, proper sentences during TV interviews. I don’t care what anyone says, that is a real problem. Most of the country believes she is not qualified to be president, and she should not be given serious consideration for higher office in the future. Yes, she has not been treated fairly in the media, but she hurt herself by hiding from tough interviews, by never displaying and articulating (without notes in front of her) any kind of intellectual depth or deep grasp of the issues, and by quitting her job and giving a convoluted excuse for doing so. She would be as hopeless a candidate as Todd Akin became.

Two people I will never, ever support in a future Republican primary are: Sarah Palin and the fat Charlie Crist known as Chris Christie.

Marco Rubio? Love him. Scott Walker? Great as well. Bobby Jindal? Great guy. Paul Ryan? You Betcha. Even Jeb Bush? If it came to that, I so would. Rudy? Not sure how old he is now, but I’ll take him over many others.

Hold on, how do you know they’ll survive the death panels? It might be necessary to cut the cord, if you will, to improve cost efficiencies.

Yeah, but Obamacare now becomes permanent. If you’re over 50 and live in a red state, don’t count on getting anything approaching the healthcare you now enjoy.
