I believe the uncovering of the video tape revealing Romney 47% comments was the biggest factor that led to his defeat.

Jeez…as I recall, just about everyone on here was screaming for Romney to “double down” with that. LOL

Don’t worry – the GOP has not learned its lesson yet. The Romney-hating has already started.

The next Republican nominee will be someone like Santorum. He/she will call people “parasites”, not the 47% .

After you get a Goldwater-like defeat with that person, then maybe there will be change.

My hope for a Romney victory was temporarily restored after he performed so well in the first debate. Obviously that didn’t make enough of a difference.

On a personal level, my bf’s son has enlisted in the Air Force and will start basic training next September. He enlisted before Benghazi The two of us were hoping and praying that his son would be serving under a President Romney. Now we will be worrying more than ever when and if he’s deployed to a war zone.

I will end my night with that JohnD13. It was a sad but somehow comforting post. God be with you and yours.

500 billion in new taxes, most of them on the middle class.
20 million Americans will lose their employer-based health insurance.
Many doctors will simply leave the profession.
An estimated 1 out of 6 hospitals will close.
Medicare will be gutted, and rationed by the IPAB that is set up for that purpose.
Employers will force full-time workers to become part-time to avoid the Employee Mandate.
Veterans health care (Tricare) will be gutted by billions.
And on and on.
Who will the Democrats blame for all of this in 2016.

Oh, by the way – Obamacare is the law of the land. Get used to it. And better yet, man and woman up, take responsibility, and get insurance. Don’t want to – too bad. Pay the penalty for shirking responsibility.

You forgot a couple of stickeywickets!

In Obamacare, subsidies are authorised only for those individuals enrolled in “an exchange established by the state under § 1311,” but the legislation has no similar language authorising the subsidisation of individuals enrolled within any exchange that the Federal government might create.

How are you going to subsidise people in the proposed, Federal exchanges where the states have declined to create their own?

Federal exchanges have NO FUNDING MECHANISMS and they aren’t going to get one for the Republican House.

Furthermore, no business located in a state without an exchange is mandate to provided insurance or turn over their employees to the non-existent exchange or pay the penalty.

Hint: Next time read what’s in the bill before you sign onto it!

And frankly.. I don’t blame them one bit if they did. Rather than listen at all to their concerns, the GOP instead chose to insult and belittle them. For a Campaign that was seeking to be “Moderate in the name of getting independents and Moderates” it did a sure fine job of insulting those very voters.

All paths now lead inexorably to hyperinflation and collapse. At best, Mitt Romney might have held it off for a bit. But now, 0bama owns the whole d*mn thing.

Well, he was greatly relieved. and could therefore be very gracious in his loss.

No more pretending he was conservative.
No more pretending that he could fix things.
No more responsibilities beyond caring for his family.

If I had a few hundred million to fall back on, and the right sort of contacts, I reckon I’d be gracious and relieved at tonight’s results too.

Want an awesome conspiracy theory for 2016? How about Biden as Prez, with Obama as Veep, and Biden (for one reason or another) has to step down?

I doubted he would end QE3. I doubted he’d fight illegal immigration, I doubted he’d reinstitute the missile shield in eastern Europe.

I hoped he would do these things, but then again he didn’t exactly run on them did he?

So now we get the full monty. We get it Faster & Furiouser.

All the first two definitely do. Allen West was no “true conservative”, but merely another pro-war foreign policy progressive. And true conservatives believe in self-ownership and oppose the nanny state, so drug legalization is a naturally conservative position.

But I do not feel sorry enough to give up. Tomorrow starts a new day. I will continue to fight for their future.

An Obama victory made my life harder, but who ever said life was supposed to be easy? Perhaps an Obama victory, while devastating for the present, is better for the future of a reborn America.

If Romney had won, the left would be saying that “You denied Obama a second term; he never had a chance; he had good policy, but not enough time to implement it; America is a racist country.”

Now, Obama has been granted a second term. He has another four years to face the mess that he himself created. I pity the Democrats for their “victory.” Now they have to face some really tough choices, and they lack sufficient tools to deal with any of them.

What will the national debt be in 2016 when spending continues to skyrocket and revenues dry up? Twenty-Five Trillion? Who will make a prediction?

When do they pass a budget? Does anybody think it will be 2013? Will that only raise questions as to why there have been no budgets in the past? Does Obama attempt to run a full second term without any passed budgets at all?

What does Obama do with a resurgent Al Qaida? Submit? Agree to peace? Become a war-monger?

What does Obama do when Iran nukes Israel, or vice versa? Nothing?

What does Obama do when there is an energy crisis, and we can’t drive our cars with wind?

What does Obama do when the American People finally realize that the media is, and always has been, lying to them? What does the media do?

At some point, the Democrats will have to face all these crises, because they built them all – brick by brick, lie by lie, error by error.

I will let the Democrats sleep in the bed they made. I predict it will be “bumpy.”

As for me? I have to try to see if my business still makes sense. With the stagnant economy, and a huge douse of water poured on any possible spark of ignition, I have to decide how many (and which) of my people to let go. I have to figure out what to do with my underwater home. I have to figure out how I will provide for my family. I will be far too busy with my own problems to shed a tear as the Democrats struggle to solve theirs.

I will not say I wish them luck. All that I will say is that I wish them to fail swiftly and totally, so that the rebirth of Freedom in America can begin anew, and as soon as possible.

The model that they built is inoperable. It must fail. So let it prove that to all, beyond any doubt, so that we can begin to seek rational solutions.

At this point, it is simply my job to survive so that I can participate when that day arrives. A Romney victory would have made my life easier. An Obama victory makes my survival more important.

Let us survive together, my friends, so that we can lead the way once we get to the other side.
