Romney Senate ad: Unless you’re a fan of the Reid-Pelosi agenda…

I’m pointing this out because, driving in my car late last week, I heard a pro-Democratic radio ad dramatically intoning that Richard Mourdock is the only Senate candidate Mitt Romney has helped along like this, which must mean that Romney is one of those conservative extremists who just hates women or something — but that definitely isn’t the case anymore. He’s also cut Senate ads for Rep. Jeff Flake running in Arizona, Rep. Denny Rehberg running in Montana, and most recently added to the last-minute ad blitz by endorsing Rep. Rick Berg running in North Dakota.

Indiana, Arizona, Montana, and North Dakota are all longtime safe bets for adding to Mitt Romney’s electoral totals tomorrow, but states in which the non-presidential voting gets a little more purple. Ergo, they’re areas where his endorsement can help these toss-up/leans-GOP Senate races along — which, strategically, is precisely why he does them of course, not out of some evil “extremist” loyalism (and there are probably few buzzwords that can stir up the base to get out and vote quite as much as the ObamaCare-laced-implications as the “Reid-Pelosi” agenda). As Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid oh-so-helpfully offered the other day, a Democrat-controlled Senate willing to work with Mitt Romney is a ‘fantastical’ notion, and as many pundits have pointed out, the effectiveness of a Romney presidency could be vastly helped along if the GOP succeeds in picking up the seats for which they’re shooting.

On the flip side of that coin, President Obama offered his only video-ad endorsement for the Senate in presidential-blue Connecticut to Chris Murphy, who’s waging a close but leaning Democratic race against Linda McMahon, hitting the same “middle class” and “women’s health” notes of his own campaign:
