This thread reminds me of the time a coworker showed up for work one day carrying one of those “European Shoulder Bags.” We spent the whole day calling it his man purse. After that day we never saw it again.

I won the gas pack argument in our house (on a resale basis) but he won’t let me have the flip the switch fire place because the pilot has to always burn, thereby wasting propane. Getting the sucker turned on is like getting a House bill through the Senate. Sorry about all the stuff that has to be redone. Based on what I remember of my neighbor’s experience, builders tend to fudge when women are the primary contact.

lets just say a the word “raw” was still in the equation

blatantblue on November 1, 2012 at 1:25 PM

Was it in the equation afterwards as well? ;)

Amid the setbacks, we still consider ourselves very blessed.

hawkdriver on November 1, 2012 at 2:28 PM

Sadly I had to forward that to way too many of my friends!…. I would never allow myself to become an addict…. never….. never I say…. let me know when my protest becomes convincing!

2nd Ammendment Mother on November 1, 2012 at 2:33 PM

This was fun MKH.

Cindy Munford on November 1, 2012 at 2:36 PM

Amen. It is not unlike childbirth, when you see the ultimate gift, the
“pain” seems like nothing.

LOL! My blue Balls are the best — (50 seconds into it)

SauerKraut537 on November 1, 2012 at 2:49 PM

Sigh… I guess I just don’t get out enough… I have no clue what Pinterest is, or what MKH is making fun of… (insert embarrassed emocon here)

I have a cousin (small children) and daughter (artist) on Pinterest. At the moment I have avoided becoming involved.

Put up some non-political images of crafts/children/clothes/art/charts on your blog and you, too, can be linked to Pinterest! I’ve had some moms pick up a couple of things from my blog.

INC on November 1, 2012 at 2:52 PM

Wow. That was hilarious. Pumpkin chandelier!

gatsbysgirlontheside on November 1, 2012 at 2:56 PM

Hey, that’s the site my wife looks at all day.

I still have no idea what it is. Although we had a conversation today about upgrading our electronics and she’s ok with going to a tablet from a laptop because “the only thing I do on my computer is read twitter, facebook and look at pinterest.”

jhffmn on November 1, 2012 at 2:59 PM

My daughter showed me how to sign up for Pinterest. I asked her why I needed to do this, and she said because you like crafts and cooking. I asked again, why do I need to do this and she said, nevermind. That was the last time I looked at Pinterest.

Those who do, do. Those who don’t, pin it.

listens2glenn on November 1, 2012 at 3:48 PM

I have an Election Therapy board on Pinterest and when you search “Anti Obama” all sorts of fun stuff comes up to pin. I also do my part to irritate those who imagine a War on Women by creating Vote Mitt outfits on Polyvore, with American flags or peace-sign shirts, then pin them on Pinterest.

You know, you just do your part and while I may not be a strong debater and contributor on Hot Air boards I can whip up a jeans outfit with stunning boots and an American flag hoodie and get my Mitt message out through Pinterest. Just saying.

Thanks bb & lorien. I needed the laugh. Dealing with the web designer from hell. Very stressful day. You help my BP go down.

29Victor on November 1, 2012 at 5:03 PM

Video made me laugh but I don’t have a problem. I use Pinterest to hold research materials. Well, tbe research I don’t mind sharing ( crafters are idea thieves). I’m not going to mention where I hide the best ideas.

Thanks for the laugh.

From the title, I thought this would be a discussion of how Obama had rejected death panels and was, instead, reducing end of life medical costs by having GM bring back the Ford Pinto, then mandating those 55 or older must drive one.

Dr. Charles G. Waugh on November 1, 2012 at 11:51 PM

Very pinteresting!

Sherman1864 on November 2, 2012 at 4:26 AM

MKH, you evil genius. My 26 yo daughter has been slipping as of late with some less than Conservative povs for this upcoming election. (Still voting Romney, but I had to assuage some of her concerns that he was too Conservative according to her friends) But … her being a Pinterester, er I showed her your funny video and now she’s an MKH fan.

hawkdriver on November 2, 2012 at 7:00 AM

Only MKH could pull off the part or Amanda in one take, i’m sure.
