Father of fallen Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods: I do not appreciate cowardice, lies

posted at 3:21 pm on October 26, 2012 by Mary Katharine Ham

From Megyn Kelly’s “America Live” today, Charlie Woods, who lost his son in the attack on the Benghazi consulate, reacts to the latest news that CIA command refused to send help. Speaking very calmly, Woods said his son deserves the same moral courage from the country’s leaders that he displayed in giving his life to save his fellow Americans:

“This is not about politics … if it were about politics, it would dishonor my son’s death. It’s about honor, integrity and justice,” he said.

“This news that he disobeyed his orders does not surprise me. My son was an American hero, and he had the moral strength to do what was right … even if it would have professionally cost him his job, even if it would have cost him his life.”

Woods went on to say that while he forgives those who gave the orders that indirectly led to his son’s death, he wishes they would take a lesson from the young former SEAL’s courage.

The interview speaks for itself, so I’ll let it. I honor Tyrone Woods’ sacrifice, and after hearing his father speak, I’m not surprised he raised a hero.

Just what does a President have to do to get impeached these days?

Mr. Woods, you have an amazing son. There are millions of us out here who will give him the respect he deserves, even if this feckless poseur in the white house won’t. We owe him a debt we cannot repay. Your family is in our prayers.

He’s way past impeachment at this point.

Sorry sir but this is all about politics. It was all about politics when forces were denied. It was all about politics when Obama and the Obama Regime lied to us for two weeks. It was all about politics when Hillary took responsibility but not blame. It was all about politics when an obscure American Citizen was thrown in jail as a political prisoner. It is all about politics that you still will get no answers today.

All I want to know is who made the final decision to abandon our people. How far up the communication chain did this go. The immediacy of the situation dictates that a single individual somewhere in this clusterfark issued the command to let our people die. Was it someone in the State Department? Someone in the WH? Where does the communication chain end?

Interesting that immeditely when hostilities commenced, the first impulse of the WH, CIA head, SoS, and Pentagon was to evaluate the impact on their own individual careers and react accordingly.

Sadly, I am afraid that this was about politics, but that does not lessen tyrone’s heroism. The leaders responsible will face justice if there is any left in this world. Impeachment and prison.

It’s about honor, integrity and justice

The Campaigner In Chief is too preoccupied with, and paralized by, politics to understand that true leadership, in the face of criticism, is his real path to re-election and salvation in the eyes of all Americans.

It’s caused all this mess, killed four great Americans, and it’s sad.

That would be the most foolish political move they could make. It would take the economy off the front page, it would galvanize the Democrat/media complex, and it would re-energize a dying Obama campaign.

I think the GOP is hoping and anticipating that Obama loses in 11 days and then finally when President Romney is sworn in(and maybe before then), the truth of what happened in Benghazi will come out.

Well, it should end with the President. And if it didn’t, the President s/b firing those who kept that from happening. But that assumes we have a leader in the Oval Office. That none of this is the case self-explains the fact we don’t have a leader there at the moment.

Let us not forget that Barack went to bed without knowing the fate of our Ambassador, that after hearing of these four deaths he went to Las Vegas where he infamously equated those who were working for his election to be essentially the same as these four dead Americans who served their country to the last full measure.

Anyone who votes for Obama is as morally reprehensible as Obama is.

They would have had to known that all of this would eventually float to the surface.

When America knowingly backed Libyan rebels with American blood on their hands from Iraq and Afghanistan, I said that we were casting our lot with Zawahiri’s boys, and that we better be willing to bomb them, too, once they inevitably turned on us. Hillary and Obama were obviously so invested in selling the Arab Spring as a triumph, so there’s no way they could be seen bombing the same rebels we had just put in power. Heck, right after Qaddafi fell, they were flying the al-Qaeda flag over the Benghazi courthouse. Anyone who wanted to could have seen this coming.

Justice in this life is fleeting and it can be tempting to abandon faith or to give in to bitterness. Mr. Woods doesn’t seem to be doing either of those things. Understand that the justice that is coming to both those who did this evil deed and those who have lied about it will be in the hands of God. It is hard to fathom that HIS ways aren’t our ways but rest assured justice will come and it will be strong. Tyrone travels in bright company. Those who participated in his death and those who placed an election over his life should fear. The company they will travel with will be something they cannot fathom. God bless Tyrone Woods.

I watched this father on Megan’ show and had a tear in my eye.

This is like the Twilight Zone. I don’t know how come this country cannot shake this man from itself. I don’t see how our other countrymen are so blind.

How does the MSM live with itself knowing it is aiding and abeting this scandal?

I know the answer but I just can’t believe they are liberals before they are even f*cking human beings with morals.

As mad and outraged as I am at Obama and his minions, I am much mor so at thr media. There will allways be men like Barak Obama and the corrupt democrats, the media is suppossed to be the watchdogs of democracy. They are a complete disgrace. They need to become the headline at some point and held accountable. They will finish destroying out country.

I’m with you. People need to ask for forgiveness first, before it is given. Otherwise, it lets the transgressor off the hook and enables them. I can understand that those grieving seek solace, often through forgiveness. Sounds like Hillary, Biden, and Obama issued the standard “I’m sorry [this happened.]” NOT the same as “I/we made a mistake.]

I know the military and CIA are supposed to be apolitical but I hope beyond hope that those who were direct witnesses to this tragedy come forth for the good of their country and brothers-in-arms. Those two SEALS sacrificed their lives. Won’t a few sacrifice their careers in their name? They have got to know, if BO gets re-elected, they are all cannon fodder. They may be the next ones hung out to dry.

The investigation of the Benghazi attack is nothing but a partisan witch hunt!

Someone has to say it so I will.

Would help have been sent if any of the dead had looked like what one of Obama’s sons, if he had one?

Charles Wood is claiming that Vice President Biden approached him and asked if his son always had”balls the size of cue balls”

If that were my boy there isn’t a Secret Service guy on Earth who could move fast enough to keep me from pounding my fist through the back of Joe’s skull.

I am re-evaluating my feelings for Petreus. If he covers this up he isn’t better than the rest in this.

Hearing this latest news I am just incredibly angry. Wrong or right, I want to bite someone’s head off. This really should make any American’s blood boil. If this disgusting administration is willing to abandon Americans who were in service to our country, this disgusting administration would abandon any and all of us. It is times like these when all I want to do is grab a Fluking pitchfork and start dishing out a little mob justice.

NotCoach on October 26, 2012 at 3:57 PM

Amen to that.

Biden is so clueless about what real courage is he thought that is what everybody dreams of in the military and to be remembered as brave is all that matters.

Conan on October 26, 2012 at 4:17 PM

The moral depravity of the democrat party is apparent…..they can lie, cheat and steal from us…these are the people that at a wink will kill a child in the womb for convenience sake only…theirs are dark hearts on the left side of the aisle….none of this should surprise us….wake up America, many of us tried to warn you, obama is evil and supports evil….what you see is what you got……….

I want heads to roll…not just content with Mitt winning.

I’m sure John Boehner and McConnell are working up impeachment proceedings as we speak. /s

I’m with ya.

If only these two dolts had balls the size of cue balls like Tyrone Woods, maybe they’d do something.

Apparently there is quite a bit of activity in Kathy Ruemmler’s office today after the Fox Report was released. She is the Obomination’s General Council.
