President “you don’t deserve a bunch of name-calling” Obama goes smaller and smaller

posted at 12:41 pm on October 25, 2012 by Erika Johnsen

If you were looking for a bunch of partisan rhetoric, I’m probably not your guy.”

If you can’t beat your opponent’s ideas, you distort those ideas — maybe you just make some up. If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as somebody people should run away from. You make big elections about small things.”

We have to get to the point where we can have a conversation about big important issues that matter to the American people without vitriol, without name calling, without the assumptions of the worst in other people’s motives.”

So sayeth the 44th president of the United States, none of which quite helps to explain why — even as we wend our way into the final days before the November 6th election — we’re still being treated to a steady stream of war-on-women nonsense, class-warmongering, and other small potatoes. As a new RNC web ad points out, it’s almost like Team Obama doesn’t have any big ideas on which to run.

Nor do any of his above statements seem to align with the lack of class in this little exchange, via Politico:

Rolling Stone cover, “Obama and the Road Ahead: The Rolling Stone Interview,” by Douglas Brinkley: “We arrived at the Oval Office for our 45-minute interview … on the morning of October 11th. … As we left the Oval Office, executive editor Eric Bates told Obama that he had asked his six-year-old if there was anything she wanted him to say to the president. … [S]he said, ‘Tell him: You can do it.’ Obama grinned. … ‘You know, kids have good instincts,’ Obama offered. ‘They look at the other guy and say, “Well, that’s a bullshitter, I can tell.”’”

…How lovely. Obama has lately been making the same point (albeit, in more genteel terms) while out on the campaign trail, extolling the supposed lack of flip-flops and self-contradictions in his political past because “trust matters” and Mitt Romney doesn’t have more credibility on that front because he’s constantly lying through his teeth, or something. If we could all just forget that Obama’s proposed tax hikes on the wealthy won’t even come close to covering the spending he’d like to do; that ObamaCare does impose both explicit and implicit taxes on the middle class; that Obama himself is constantly distorting Romney’s positions; I could go on and on.

This president just keeps on shrinking.

This is not the sign of a winning campaign. Barky has been on tilt at least since the first debate. This was on October 11. If he was cracking there, think of how rough it is being around him now.

I always expect Obama to do what is classless, and he never disappoints. I am embarrassed that our president has so little respect for himself and the people of this country that he would use his language in an interview at all, but especially when a child is involved in ANY way. Unlike most liberals, I don’t want to keep others from speaking anyway they want, even though I don’t use profanity and strongly disapprove of it. What I want is for people, especially our president, to have enough respect for others to use common sense as to when and where to use it. Obviously our president have either in this situation.

He is a lowlife, classless, disgraceful POS. Why should we expect anything else from him after he called us his “enemies”?

Should he win, we will be able to take some solace in the fact that he will be the first president in 94 years (depending on the margin,it could be more) to win re-election with a smaller margin than his election. He will have no mandate and will, instantly, be a lameduck with a Republican House and a Benghazi investigation. Of course, I’m hoping that he will be living in Hawaii when the investigation really gets going.

I’ve imagined the scene at the inauguration several times:

Romney standing before Chief Justice Roberts, Ann by his side while he takes the oath of office. Barak and Michelle in the background, both steely-eyed, faces drawn, veins popping on their necks. Angry. Thinking how did this happen? I was the won.

Afterwards, briskly walking to the waiting helecopter. Not even pausing to shake Romney’s hand. Angrily stomping up the steps of the chopper, literally dragging a weeping Michelle aboard.

Just before he disappears inside, he slowly turns and flips the bird. Just for old times sake.

Seriously, you put these two sentences together:

As we left the Oval Office, executive editor Eric Bates told Obama that he had asked his six-year-old if there was anything she wanted him to say to the president. … [S]he said, ‘Tell him: You can do it.’ Obama grinned. … ‘You know, kids have good instincts,’ Obama offered. ‘They look at the other guy and say, “Well, that’s a bullshitter, I can tell.”’”

Seriously. How narcisisstic, self-centered and projecting, not to mention vicious, a reply is that?

Any normal person would say, “how nice of your little girl to say that” or “she’s good at being encouraging, maybe she should be a teacher!” and have a chuckle.

No, this clown immediately refers to his own view of Romney in his own head and attacks him, using profanity, using the comment of a six year old to do it.

That kind of anger and bitterness against a political opponent is NOT mentally healthy. Is he so up in his own head about a possible loss that he can’t even come out for a second?

RICHMOND, Va. — President Barack Obama phoned Colin Powell Thursday to thank him for endorsing him for a second term, a White House official said.

Powell, the former Secretary of State under Republican president George W. Bush, endorsed Obama in 2008 and told CBS in an interview Thursday morning that he still supports him.

The president is very appreciative of the endorsement,” White House spokesman Dan Pfeiffer told reporters on a plane ride from Tampa, Florida, where Obama held a rally. “He called Colin Powell this morning before the event to thank him.”

The president did not discuss a possible endorsement with Powell before Thursday’s announcement and was unaware he would give it, Pfeiffer said.

“We did not have a heads-up that he was going to do this,” he said. “The president spoke to Colin Powell recently and Colin Powell did not give us any indication what he was going to do.”

Powell said he was impressed with Obama’s record on the economy and criticized Republican challenger Mitt Romney for his positions on foreign policy.
