Christie: If Obama can’t change DC, then “what the hell is he doing asking for another four years?”

As wary as I am of speaking too soon, as a lifelong Virginia resident, I’m starting to get a creeping (though completely nonscientific) feeling in my gut that the commonwealth is starting to lean towards Mitt Romney. Nevertheless, Virginia tends to top the list of crucial swing states still in the battleground running, so I think it was a pretty wise decision to deploy one of the GOP’s most popular surrogates to Richmond, Virginia to stump for Romney over the weekend. Why? Because nobody can get people fired up quite like this guy can. Boom, via the Washington Examiner:
You may not know this, but the president loves me. He really does. He loves watching me on TV. He loves the stuff I say, he loves me. And so, since he loves me, I want to help the president. … You’ve been living inside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for the last four years. If you don’t think you can change Washington from inside the White House, then let’s give you the plane ticket back to Chicago you’ve earned. I mean, that is a scary thing for the President of the United States to say, isn’t it? … It shows his arrogance. See, ’cause if he really believes that, if he believes that, then what the hell is he doing asking for another four years? You can’t just Washington, D.C. from the inside? That’s fine, we’re happy to give you a bus ticket to the outside, Mr. President. … What he’s saying is, ‘It’s not my fault. … It’s G.W. Bush’s fault, it’s Dick Cheney’s fault, it’s big oil’s fault, it’s the coal company’s fault, it’s the gas company’s fault, it’s the fault of the Republicans in Congress… For God’s sake, it’s anybody’s fault but mine,’ he says. ‘Please, give me another four years, and I will figure it out.’ You know what, Mr. President? I am tired of waiting for you to figure it out. …He doesn’t know anything about leading. He’s never led anything in his life. Until we made him president of the United States, he’s never led anything in his life. … Blindly walking around the White House, looking for a clue. …
So. Much. Truth. If you have four minutes, I recommend watching the full clip; there’s just something about Christie’s unapologetic, bombastic manner that acts like a balm for my Democratic-talking-point-battered soul. Somehow, I feel like we’ve all already given more attention to “Big Bird” and “binders” than we did to President Obama’s “you can’t change Washington from the inside” comment, but as Christie reminds us, it was a poignant omission of just how much on-the-job-training the president has tried — and failed — to acquire.

I hope that Christie trips, falls on his back, flailing his little arms and legs can’t turn over to get up and bakes to a huge ash heap in the sun. As for his dem challenger … I hope she’s under him when he falls.

I could care less if Christie loses as a matter of fact I hope he does. He is far more damaging to Conservatives as a Republican foil than as a one-term non-sitting governor.

I can’t believe I’m going to stick up for christie but he’s taken on the unions and for that he has my gratitude.
As for his stance on gun control, the muslim outreach situation, the higher property taxes (which is a total joke because the tax is proportional to the price of the house so that means prices of homes in NJ are high meaning people want to live there – supply/demand/bernanke pumping up miney supply and driving down interest rates for flippers to come and sell old homes for higher prices BLAME THE REALTORS not christie), his other soft marginal republican attributes which I wish someone would list but most importantly, he needs to be in there for the 2020 census to redistrict and make more red districts (if possible). Does Jersey have term limits? If so then he’s out before 202o anyways but if not, keep him in just for redistricting alone.
