Umm…not everyone. I said at the time that if Minnesota were in play, they would have sent someone with a little more name recognition than Jill Biden. Romney ain’t carrying Minnesota, which makes him like every other Republican presidential candidate. Good news is he doesn’t have to.

Keep in mind that D/R/I in 2008 in PA was 44/37/18.

If I was a liberal, I would be a little nervous about these numbers.

If PA goes for Romney — which feels very plausible here on the ground — then I think it will be largely due to Dem voters simply staying home.

I dunno. Everthing Obama touches turns to lead. The way he and Michelle handle money, I wouldn’t be surpised if he is the first former president to declare bankruptcy.

Screw the polls, look instead at what the candidates are DOING. Obama is pulling out of NC, FL and possibly VA (and it’s not because he’s winning them). Yeah, yeah, I know that Garrett said that Obama’s men have turned “grim” on the states, and didn’t specifically say “pull out” (until he got an angry call from Messina ordering a softening of the language that is) but how else does one interpret “shifting resources”? It’s never positive to move resources from states you’re winning – if you’re upside down (as O currently is) then he’s swiftly moving into firewall mode to negate a landslide. He has his legacy and pride to preserve you see.

Unless it’s discovered that Mitt has a penchant for risque parties that include dwarfs and donkeys, then there is very little that Obama can do to stem the rising Romney tide. Last Tuesday was Obama’s at his very best during the debate, and he still got smoked by the internals. Next weeks debate won’t save him and even if he really showed up there is too little time and too much Romney inertia to swing that many votes.

I personally don’t think that Obama cares whether he wins or not. He’s been phoning it in for months now (if not since 2010). If defeated he gains riches, adulation and a fat Hawaian estate. He also got 90% of what he wanted during his first term and he’s the first black POTUS. Who needs a second term after that?

SurveyUSA has a new MN poll with Obama up 10, 50-40. Romney up 3 w/ indys. Sample is D+10 (was D+4 in 08, D+3 in 04). Closer than topline.

The Marist Iowa poll over samples early voters by double the actual number. That’s all anyone needs to know about the validity of the poll or lack thereof.
