Seriously though, you are right. O dark thirty is a slang term used by military people. I never heard the term “zero dark thirty”…ever, at least since 1972 when I entered the service.

That book is amazing, I’ve already re-read it once. It’s like holding a piece of living, breathing history in your hands.

I’m thankful he took the heat for writing it and getting ostracized from the ST6 community to let us Americans know what amazing things these guys are capable of now

Patraeus like other Generals follows orders. Perhaps his revision of views as stated in his “support for review of DADT” was more one of him being pressured to do so and eventually caving on his own views.

There are multitudinous ways to celebrate the achievement. We are not obliged to support this movie as one of them. In fact, given the crude and unprecedented politization of the event by the veritable sponsors of this movie, it could be argued that patronizing it would be the least honorable way to celebrate the achievement.

Since No Easy Day was written by a Navy SEAL who was actually there, and I trust the integrity of the author far more than the White House or Hollywood lefties, it will be the account of record for me.

You think an amateur hack ob of the prophet Mohammed on a 5 min youtube clip stirred up the natives…..a big budget Hollywood film depicting the US Military bagging the #1 bad guy isn’t going to make em happy. Meh.

That said, just like the youtube deal, its a flimsy pretext to get the rabble amped up whilst the actual terrorists keep on doing what they are doing, maybe using it as cover if it fits their plans.

I also think that homosexual activism with Obama as tool for that used DADT not to strengthen or improve or contribute to our military and service but to proliferate their own needs. Removing DADT prevented a certain social upset but it also has now opened a cascade of pressure to abuse many an individual by and through the military, particularly as to religious liberty and religious conscience being forcefully trashed by the removal of this policy and the urging forward of homosexual activism via the military.

If Romney wins next month I seriously hopehe has the balls to clean up our military of all the senile sell outs and traitors. Starting with the Chiefs of Staff, they ALL HAVE TO GO. And then on down and down. I am sure we have plenty in the military who love our country and what we stand for.

Very accurate description given his actions for the past couple of years. Where has he been since 9/11 (2012)? Have you heard him, saw him? Its his agency that is now blamed for the failure in Benghazi. I, for one, would love to hear his thoughts on the subject.

From where I sit, he did betray a good number of us, general or not. Too bad his long career will only be remembered by siding with Hussein and kissing boy king’s azz profusely. I hope his sell out has been worth his while…

Our military isn’t the Executive Branch nor is it Congress. It follows commands from “the people” which is why the Executive Branch, the President specifically, is “commander in Chief” as a supposed representative or agent of The People.

General Patreus isn’t the problem and your denigrating descriptions of his service is lower than low.

And, what looks to be obvious about Patreaus, is the Obama Gang have shut him out of media because of, primarily, his views that “fail” to support ‘gay marriage’ and the end of DADT.

Well, thanks for the update. Last I read from his views, he didn’t “back” that “review” so much as he was available to hear options.

By the way, “backing” a “review” of DADT DOES NOT MEAN that someone supports removing it.
