Still, this is noteworthy for its still-lonely example in the mainstream media for calling out the Obama administration on its cover-up on Benghazi, and its lack of attention to security in one of the most dangerous corners of the world.

Isn’t it sad that there isn’t more curiosity about what happened at Benghazi in the MSM?

And to make things even worse, the administration ran ads in foreign countries APOLOGIZING for America once again.

It’s also debatable whether newspaper endorsements have any impact at all these days, although campaigns certainly like to brag about them. In a bygone era, people put more trust in newspapers (deservedly or not); these days, they can get commentary wherever they desire.

True. But while a city paper’s endorsement may not carry much weight with voters, it still has the capacity to drive opinion within the local news community, most notably within the local TV market. You can bet local TV anchors and political reporters read those editorials every day, and take them seriously.

And remember that several major city papers, most notably the NY Times and the Washington Post, engage in presidential election public opinion “polling” at the very same time that they are endorsing one of the two candidates, the Democrat. Those “polls” are also picked up nationally and used to shape public opinion.

But I will still not expect them to endorse Romney (even considering they endorsed McCain last time). All their other leaning tends to leave me in a wait-and-see mood. But, I am still encouraged that they are at least honest enough to be concerned about the lack of integrity demonstrated by the White House.

I respectfully disagree. The Dispatch will endorse Romney. They endorsed McCain, Bush in ’04, Kasich in ’10 and SB5 in ’11. Bank on it.

Weren’t over 30 people rescued that night? Where are they now and what do they have to say? Everything is still so murky about what happened that night and there is no (good) reason for it to remain so obscured. There are people who know things. Why aren’t they talking? Are they being intimidated? What is the O administration still hiding?

Here we are over a month later there has been no response to the attacks. Why not? It is insanely, outrageously unacceptable that Obama has not addressed the American people to address this situation. Nor has Hillary. I don’t have words to express my contempt for them.

Since no one else will take this to the American people, PACs PLEASE politicize this via ads because it’s the only way to apply pressure to get these criminally incompetent and unethical people to do their jobs.

(Ryan and Romney can bring it up, but not as direct and bitingly as needed. We should have had PAC ads to apply pressure over Fast & Furious since the enemedia is useless.)
