So, Obama gave nothing to the DNC in August? What that says is Obama held no private fundraisers in either July or August. (Most of these events go for $30K a plate.) I find that hard to believe.
Maybe I need to get educated on when the money needs to be divvied up between the two.

…a closer look at the DNC’s August report shows it also took out $8 million in loans during that month — which means it had more debt ($11.8 million) than cash on hand ($7.1 million).

So they run their party the way they run the country. Why should anyone be surprised by this?

When you spend all your money attacking the opponent, you don’t have any left to defend yourself…. not that they have a defense… maybe they should ask for help… big bird??

What does Obama have to defend? I recall Obama saying if you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. You make a big election about small things.
Or something like that. To paraphrase Krauthammer, he hit the nail on the head when he said the Obama campaign should run that Big Bird ad right up to election eve. This way the DNC will spend all their money on ads and drive home the pettiness of the small president.

Oh come on. Soros and the Saudis are printing up untraceable gift cards as fast as they can.

The cards don’t have to be physically made, that would be a waste. All they get from the credit card companies is a computer file with the numbers and expiration dates. That data is then loaded into the phone bank operator software along with a list of made-up names to use, probably stolen from a US big-city phone book, also available in electronic format.

This means that the RNC has a real opportunity to beat Democrats in Congressional races this year. They are better funded, and apparently better organized, than the DNC at that level.

Also note that this is the first election with the newly redrawn congressional disctricts (as a result of the 2010 census and redistricting that follows), and that should be a net positive for Republicans.

She does look excited though..

I would LOVE to hear contrary opinions, b/c I am worried that “Obama being outspent in the final month” is one of the biggest head-fakes of the year.

Where do you live? There are no shortage of pro-Romney ads here in Virginia. If you are not in one of the swing states that might be part of the issue.
