Obligatory: A bad lip reading of the first presidential debate

posted at 8:01 pm on October 9, 2012 by Erika Johnsen

To cleanse the palate, as Allahpundit says — and actually, in my opinion, the BadLipReading folks provide an obviously ridiculous but weirdly apt summary of how thing went down. Even the dubbed-over-with-nonsense version of Mitt Romney sounds more confident and in-command than a somewhat faltering President Obama, and all of the passionate-versus-defeated body language is still there (the faux-Obama even falls asleep, and I don’t think everybody is quite convinced that the real-Obama didn’t actually do the same thing). The best part may be the “I’m here to guide you through your meditation” take on Jim Lehrer, and as Mitt Romney concludes, “It’s party time, chumps” — ain’t it the truth?

It was good.
I hope that exactly four weeks from now that the MSM are crapping all over themselves as the results began to come in.

I’ve wondered how much footage they have to sit through, how many iterations of words they have to try, and how much editing they eventually have to accomplish before putting these out. Silly as they are, it’s gotta be a hell of a project.

To low information voters and small children, this is no different than the actual soundtrack.

OT: Suffolk polling to write off FL, NC and VA, ceding them to Romney.

Good grief, is that ever funny! Watched it three times already. Funnier each time, ’cause you pick up more of what’s there. And there’s plenty.

Øbama says Romney is black, then dozes off on national TV.

This is class AAA mockery. This is the quality of stuff that helps win elections. It has only 301 views now, but I’ll bet it goes viral.

MadisonConservative on October 9, 2012 at 8:42 PM

After watching, I was wondering the same. It must have taken plenty hours to make it.

It took me a couple of watchings to realize how much message was buried in it. It’s awesome.

petefrt on October 9, 2012 at 9:36 PM

“Eh, cmon, I’m not a robot, OK? I wish. Then I could go higher and you could rotate my arm and send me whooshing into space. Can you hear me? ”

LOL

“Ahmed?” Me too. Cracked me up.

The other one easy to miss: Øbama says Romney is likeable like sandpaper. Romney says Øbama is likeable… like the Wiz, aka Wizard of Oz.

Eye of the Sparrow, LOL!

petefrt on October 9, 2012 at 10:14 PM

Even better …

The Wiz is a 1978 musical film produced by Motown Productions and Universal Pictures, and released by Universal on October 24, 1978. An urbanized retelling of L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz featuring an entirely African-American cast, The Wiz was adapted from the 1975 Broadway musical of the same name. The film follows the adventures of Dorothy, a shy Harlem, New York schoolteacher who finds herself magically transported to the Land of Oz, which resembles a fantasy version of New York City. Befriended by a Scarecrow, a Tin Man, and a Cowardly Lion, she travels through the land to seek an audience with the mysterious “Wiz”, who they say has the power to take her home.

Produced by Rob Cohen and directed by Sidney Lumet, The Wiz stars Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Nipsey Russell, Ted Ross, Mabel King, Theresa Merritt, Thelma Carpenter, Lena Horne, and Richard Pryor.
