If either Michelle or Barry had ever attended a class in Constitutional law they would have been told (even if they refused to hear it) that Congress not only is not obligated to cooperate with the President (other than arguably in time of war) but is obligated to act as the representative of the people generally. If the President is to work with Congress it is incumbent on the President above all to find a path to cooperation.

The Tea Party upsurge in 2010 did indeed express the will of the people that the Obama Steamroller be stopped. It was then on Obama to figure out some way to keep things moving. He did not, because he could not. Obama is an autocrat not willing to work within a representative structure. It is why he has spent virtually all of the last two years playing golf and campaigning.

I think that Barack has done a phenomenal job working around a congress that has never been willing to help move the country forward on so many different issues.

Yeah, never mind the separation of powers thing in the Constitution you heard about when going through law school you fat assed whore. Or is fat assed hyphenated?

The whole point here is that the executive branch does not “work around” Congress when it comes to legislation.

President Obama has demonstrated a rather disquieting level of comfort with circumventing a Congress that doesn’t agree on wholesaling his liberal agenda. But, as to why that’s supposed to be a positive thing… I’m not sure I’m getting it.

Well, since Obama’s wife said she was ashamed of everything about — America except for the fact that her husband is now President of it — that would mean she’d have nothing but contempt for Congress and the Constitution.

It never seems to cross Mooch’s mind that this Congress was hired to stop further damage by Obama after his first two years. It’s the simplest, most obvious interpretation of the 2010 results, and yet it appears to escape her and others on the left. They just ignore what they don’t like, which is irresponsible and disrespectful.
