The news tonight from Reuters is that the State Department’s still negotiating with the Libyan government to get people in there, nearly three weeks after the attack.

That’s the problem. The United States Marine Corps should have been negotiating this. Then we would already have people in there.

Agree and disagree.

Agree that Libyan government is as complicit in the events as are Hussein and Co. In the 30 minutes between terrorists showed up with heavy guns in front of the consulate and attack commencing, where was Libyan government police/troops protection? That idiotic staged demonstration and supposed attacks on militia/offices was just further proof that Libyan government should be held responsible.

Disagree that we should lose any more USA lives, marines at that. Bomb the place back into stone age and I mean it. Flatten entire cities. This will do a few things: A) Tell Libyan government its not longer funny to pretend they care about American lives, B) kill as many of the attackers as we can (hey, any government building and militia office is a good target for that and I am sure we do have a map with a good number of those places well marked and researched, and C) Send a clear message to all the muslims in Egypt and beyond they are next on the list with just one more fake anti-Mohammed demonstration and attack on ANY USA property or life. Not even graffiti on embassy/consulate walls are acceptable.

Secretary Clinton and President Obama need to be dropped into a consulate in the ME with poor security. And then when they beg for more security we can say, “no, tough it out.” I can see Obama trying to use Clinton as a human shield but Clinton being the stouter of the two will twist Barry’s little chicken arm behind him and get the better of him. They should have to serve in danger under their liberal policies. Thank God we didn’t hurt Libya’s feelings by sending in our own troops.

How dare she ask for Issa to wait until after the electon. This is exactly the stuff that the American people should know about in order to make the right decision. You know in another lifetime I was a Hillary supporter. I’m sorry everybody. I was so wrong. She is filth.

A lot of people wanted to believe the best of Hillary. But I think any objective look at her should remind us that she’s not a particularly good politician, or particularly smart, or particularly competent.

She is particularly amoral and ruthless, though. She’s been a disastrous Secretary of State, and has never really done anything to deserve the high reputation she has in some quarters.

She’s deeply mired in this fiasco, and trying desperately to keep from getting blamed.

They can create campaign commercials and set up election rallies in 48 hours. Yet this will take months. Can they even say that with a straight face as most of the information is published online, various news organizations wander through our embassy and Congress puts together a timeline based on all the information available?

Is Hillary and Mr. Obama waiting for more dead Americans to make this a higher priority?

With what is known now I don’t see how, if the Stevens family and the family of the slain marines have red blood, these families don’t express outrage publicly.

I have wondered if this was a kidnapping gone wrong. A live ambassador would have been the ultimate bargaining chip.

They wanted to let Al Queda have an ambassador’s body so they could trace it back to the AQ leadership.
