Exciting new Obama merchandise: The “O” logo American flag

posted at 10:11 pm on September 19, 2012 by Allahpundit

Go have a look before they yank it down, as it’s already disappeared from a campaign tweet after people complained. That’s vintage 2008-style propaganda, made pathetic by the ruins of Hopenchange hype all around us. Makes me chuckle to think of dumb liberals, who were so disappointed in various ways by his first term, suddenly snapping up copies of it in a burst of election fervor secretly knowing all the while that they’re bound to be disappointed again. Only 35 bucks, guys. What better way to brighten up a tasteful progressive rec room than with an Obamamerican flag?

While we’re on the subject of creepy campaign propaganda, do we need to talk about this?

Ace already explored the distinct Gacy-ish vibe here at length so I won’t get into that. Let me add just two things. One: What sort of lens were they using on this camera to make Messina’s head look roughly half the size that it should be? Two, for the fellas: There’s no circumstance I can think of where it’s a good idea to write messages on your hands. You may think you look like Robert Mitchum in “Night of the Hunter,” i.e. crazy yet bad-ass, but really you just look like this guy, i.e. not bad-ass but still distinctly crazy. Do you want to frighten children on the street? Then don’t do this.

I’ll leave you with this. You’re welcome.

As for the flag, it isn’t just ego; it’s a disregard for the country so complete and arrogantly confident that it doesn’t even attempt to hide itself in the trappings of traditional American political culture. I can’t wait til the pride finally hits the fall.

Hahahhaa. I love it when Allahpundit writes like this.

Allahpundit needs to spend more time making fun of liberals and less time fretting about every little bit of suppposed good news for Obama/bad news for Mitt.

That’s the Allahpundit and HotAir I want. I want to be empowered and uplifted, not wallow in overblown, overwrought eeyoreism that merely repeats ad nauseum (and in a defeatist manner) what the political pundit swarm is complaining about and how they are trying to put down Mitt in any given week.

At this stage in the campaign, Barack Obama is in a strong position compared with past victorious presidential candidates. With an eight-point lead over Mitt Romney among likely voters, Obama holds a bigger September lead than the last three candidates who went on to win in November, including Obama four years ago. In elections since 1988, only Bill Clinton, in 1992 and 1996, entered the fall with a larger advantage.

From my perspective the paper is center right. Having said that the report I provided multiple links to, strikes me as very thorough and very well documented. Names of sources, events, people quoted directly, not unnamed sources. It reads as though this has been in the works for a very long time, given the amount of documentation alluded to, the interviews etc….

This is a big piece. As I say, it probably won’t be covered anywhere but Drudge and traditionally conservative outlets/ It is a pretty damning indictment.

Please just quit. We have bigger fish to fry.

CW on September 19, 2012 at 11:12 PM

I agree with you. Jeez, if I had known I was opening Pandora’s Box by mentioning Palin, I wouldn’t have brought it up.

manateespirit on September 19, 2012 at 11:22 PM

Wow. I had to save a screenshot of that ObamaStore crap.

Speaking of crap- here’s another version of Messina.

Give it up, Gov. Palin could sh!t gold bricks and donate them all the Romney campaign and that nut would still whine about her. It’s a mental disorder.

Cindy Munford on September 19, 2012 at 11:04 PM

lol, I love you Mrs. Munford.

arnold ziffel on September 19, 2012 at 11:24 PM

I have a better question. Who gives a flying flip?

Cindy Munford on September 19, 2012 at 11:18 PM

Well, sure, Cindy. But, I was defending (your nemesis) bluegill from a charge that I didn’t think she should be attacked for.

I like Sarah Palin–but I don’t pray to her. She made mistakes, as any mortal does. The writing on the hand was one of her mistakes.

That’s all I said.

RedCrow on September 19, 2012 at 11:26 PM

It looked amateurish and like something a junior high school student would do as a way to cheat on a test.

bluegill on September 19, 2012 at 10:53 PM

As opposed to this bit of genius? Or how about this one?

tdpwells on September 19, 2012 at 11:27 PM

Errrr, Palin wrote notes on her hand as a way to remember stuff. It looked amateurish and like something a junior high school student would do as a way to cheat on a test.

bluegill on September 19, 2012 at 10:53 PM

Unless proven otherwise, that’s the only incident in which she was observed doing something like that.

OTOH, our brave C-in-C, who’s hooked on TelePrompters like Keith Richards on drugs, can’t even give a speech to schoolchildren without toting a few of the damn things around…and yet, I’m supposed to believe he’s smarter than everyone else?

How’s that line of thought workin out for ya?

BlaxPac on September 19, 2012 at 11:27 PM

The point is that bringing up Palin here doesn’t make any sense . . . . . . . . .

listens2glenn on September 19, 2012 at 11:28 PM

Perhaps 90% our FB list are/were military, or proudly have active duty family, atm.
(seems the other 10% are mouthy, rabid libs … notably quite quiet, recently).
I’m so grieved by that flag poster, I simply linked to it on FB, with NO comment whatsoever.
Seemed like a good GOTV move.

They completely DESERVE to be mocked and ridiculed for that, but I hope they don’t pull it from the online store.

The point is you don’t have to respond to people bringing up of that name like a Pavlovian dog…unless you do?

Did I miss hearing Sarah concede that she shouldn’t have done that?

If not, then on what basis are you (or anyone else) calling it a mistake?

listens2glenn on September 19, 2012 at 11:32 PM

Because like most obaka sycophants, its gender is ambiguous.

Lanceman on September 19, 2012 at 10:19 PM

..Lance, hate to be the Grammar Nazi here (Wait! No I don’t!) but the word to use in this case is androgynous.
