Those that believe that this internal investigation is on the up an up, also believe that pigs fly. It seems that everybody has forgotten that people were killed in this botched operation and somebody has to pay for it’s crimes. If the above is really the long and short of it and Attorney General Eric Holder had no knowledge of Fast and Furious before the investigation got going… then still, why President Obama’s invocation of executive privilege on all those subpoenaed Fast & Furious-related documents?

Because the entire report is a WHITEWASH and Obama and Holder are in it up to their eyebrows.

Hmmm...

The report on Operation Fast and Furious released today by the Justice Department's Office of Inspector General says a member of the White House National Security staff declined to be interviewed for the inspector general's investigation and that the White House itself did not produce internal documents for the investigation because the White House said it was "beyond the purview" of the inspector general.

Stinks from the head down.

So the IG didn’t find any evidence tying Holder to F&F. Wow… big shockaroo. I’m sure Eric was just as forthcoming with them as he was with the Congress.

You might have been able to claim this BEFORE Obama blundered in and asserted a claim of executive privilege. But now, the claim itself clearly establishes that Obama himself knew all about F&F.

If the IG report were actually true, then there is no way that executive privilege could apply. So why exactly did Obama assert it?

Two possibilities:
1) Obama deliberately and dishonestly claimed executive privilege just to try to protect Holder from a Congressional investigation
2) The IG report is false

I don’t think this is the end of the line for Issa at all. It’s just getting started now.

The buck stops ~~here~~ about three levels below me. The only reason executive privilege could be used here is if Obama also knew about the whole thing. It protects things talked about between him and his cabinet not things talked about three levels below them and didn't inform their superiors about.

We’ve reached the point where no one is responsible for anything. Hatch Act violations-Sebelius, leaving diplomatic staff to fend for themselves and die- Clinton, tax evasion- Geithner, pathological lying-DWS, misuse of government aircraft- Pelosi…go down the list. This speaks to the horrifyingly low ethical tone of the Democrat party, the current regime, the complicity of the MSM and the toothlessness of the Republican party and cognizant law enforcement officials. BTW, how’s that Maxine Waters ethics investigation coming along? The ultimate comeuppance will not be pretty nor for the faint of heart. More like revolutionary France than revolutionary colonial America.

So now that the IG’s investigation is finished, there’s nothing to interfere with by testifying before Issa’s committee and Eric Holder will stop stonewalling and start providing witnesses from higher management in the DOJ, right?
