yep, nice re-pay for our efforts to liberate them, US ambassador in Lybia killed and look at Egypt, this bastion of freedoms and democracy….thank god that apparently the whole convention bounce for O was a hoax perpetuated by the lib media, the polls show them now in dead heat again. Just the same as before the conventions…maybe our side will finally stop the hysteria and all, and concentrate on winning this battle…sometimes I think that Romney is the only level headed, rational one, calm and composed in the face of hysteria and commo from his own side, not like crazy mclame 4 years ago…

The U.S. needs the prayers of the free world now as much as anytime in our existence.

If USA security planners are already convinced that an attack by Israel against Iran will lead to Iran attacking USA assets, then it makes sense to overtly repudiate the Israeli government and its plans in order that Iranian attacks against USA assets will be unjustified.

In such a case the USA will be better able to present itself (within and without the USA) as the innocent victim of Iranian aggression, which will make it easier to gain support (again, within and without the USA) for the killing and destroying that will likely follow.

In other words, if one is already convinced that participation in a war is inevitable, it makes sense to take whatever political stance best allows the war to be prosecuted and won, and that means not looking like the aggressor.

It would be a high-risk, high-stakes, dangerous game … but that is the type of game Iran seems determined to force upon the world. There are no low-risk options available and, that being so, the president of the USA is compelled by circumstance to choose between high-risk, bad options.

Onward toward victory in November!

You’re right about my Jewish friends placing “the right to choose” much higher on their priority list than other religious beliefs when making political decisions.

And the really absurd thing is that due to either mature age or male gender, the “right to choose” is not an issue that is personally relevant to any of them!

As you suggested I will pray for them, in addition to praying for an extra dose of patience for me.

Each of my friends has at one point or another expressed their distrust of “Christians” who they think have taken over the Republican party and want to take away a “woman’s right to choose,” so perhaps that is the underlying reason that they have allergic reactions to Republicans. Yet they treat me as a friend and they all know I am both a traditional Protestant Christian and an active conservative Republican.

In my quest to talk to any voter who will listen before the election so I can gather as many votes as possible for Romney/Ryan, I am having ongoing conversations with several Jewish friends about the election.

I am generally pretty successful at helping ordinary liberals (in my deep blue local area) to take at least one or two steps to the political right, but I am not making any progress at all with my Jewish friends and right now I am pretty sure that they will be Obama voters.

Given the many ways that Obama has shown that he is no friend to Israel or Jewish people, I am completely perplexed on how my otherwise rational and well educated Jewish friends can even consider voting for Obama.

Hey, dude: don’t know who or what you are, but besides being a Jewish country, Israel is also the Holy Land and for Christians, a very hallowed land where Christ lived and died. Not that you would care much about that. So we should support them because Israel is being threatened and does not deserve blooed shed, for one. And for another, it is a sacred destination for millions of people.
