Video: Democrats were against God before they were for Him

Mark Halperin has declared the God Debate a closed issue, but he’s the only one who is.  Jim VandeHei of Politico marvels at the debacle created by Democrats in their attempt to first excise God and recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital from the party platform, and then attempt to correct the first error by compounding it exponentially with a floor fight.  It’s exactly the kind of distraction that Democrats should have seen coming, and one that left them in the Kerryesque position of being against God before half of them were for him:

It’s not closed on CBS this morning, either.  Their morning show featured key Obama aides David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett attempting to shift blame to everyone else over the platform debacle:

CHARLIE ROSE: He didn’t know it was not in?

VALERIE JARRETT:  He — he was not aware –

DAVID AXELROD: Honestly, Charlie, he had, you know, he was counting on others to — he has some other duties, and responsibilities.  So, when he learned that what had been in the platform had been taken out, he said, “Put it back in.”

ROSE: He learned yesterday?

AXELROD: Yeah.

That, however, conflicts with the version of events the Obama campaign presented to Politico yesterday:

Two platform planks sparked division at the Democratic National Convention here Wednesday.

Things got so bad that President Barack Obama was forced to personally intervene, ordering language mentioning God and naming Jerusalem as the rightful capital of Israel be added.

Obama had seen the language prior to the convention, a campaign source said, but did not seek to change it until after Republicans jumped on the omissions of God and Jerusalem late Wednesday. And even then, it had to be forced through a convention hall full of delegates who nearly shouted down the change.

So first he was aware of it but chose not to make an issue of it until the controversy arose. Now, he was unaware of it completely until the controversy arose.  Obviously, Team Obama is having trouble getting its story straight, but even beyond that is this question: Is this leadership?

And not just Democrats either…How many self professed conservatives/libertarians defend pornography, prostitution, divorce/adultery (Jesus was quite clear on the matter), premarital sex/fornication, Contraception (inventors of evil things indeed) etc…

The protection of Divine Providence is leaving us.

The ads write themselves. The RNC needs to prove they have balls and place an ad with the actual video and audio of this “vote”. Since the MSM won’t play it, time for the Obama voting dummies to see for themselves.

I really do not think God sees a difference between outright denial of him or acceptance of his being while ignoring what is right.

God’s laws are meant to foster a society that thrives and grows and prospers. That is why he gave those laws, instructions and guidelines. I am quite certain that fostering man made laws that are counter to those laws is just as bad in his eyes as declarations of government worship. Laws such as those that damage the family, defeat procreation, separate actions from accountability and most important, those laws that lay upon the innocent the punishment.

Social security, medicare, medicaid, SSDI, welfare all fall into these catagories. As well as TARP, ethonol subsidies, paying to rebuild homes destroyed in areas that are known to have frequent events that will destroy them again and again and again.

All the welfare programs make not having a family a viable and easier choice for people to make. You cannot say you are pro-life when you protect and extend the life of these programs.

Republicans are no better than the Democrats on these matters. So I suggest you all plan to pull that timber from your eyes, so you can better see the mote in the eyes of those you wish to attack and will make any excuse to attack. We expect this stuff from Democrats, I expect much better from Republicans.

Well, it seems not everything that was removed from the DNC Platform was restored.

full pro-Israel language from the 2008 platform has not been and will not be restored.

But the full language of the 2008 platform is still gone:

If there’s one thing the Democrats have proven, is that when they fail, they try-try again.

The deletion of “God” strikes out any constitutional unalienable rights given no endowment of RIGHTS.
