For those of you that want to vote for Ron Paul, go ahead, MAKE THEIR DAY. Just remember that American isolationism made World War II inevitable, and America’s refusal to lead has permitted the Syrian debacle to kill thousands, and our limp wristed approach to Iran will probably lead to World War III (which will probably be very short). When you are so shortsighted that you can’t see past the end of your nose, you miss the balled fist that draws blood. With nuclear weapons on the stage, you can’t wait that long, and our ocean’s no longer secure us.

Okay Rock, most of us get it. The point you are missing is this: we are out of time with Obama.

There is no change, no act, no dictator that can make a permanent change to how the party conducts its business without another chairman having the same power to do, or undo, what the previous chair has done. Furthermore, the way *I* see it, it WILL come back to bite the entrenched establishment. I do not underestimate the ability of the Tea Party or the Paul Ryan camp to overcome that obstacle.

For now, keep our eyes on the goal. Get that Socialist out of the White House.

It’s a shame, really, about Eastwood last night. He has spent most of his life since the Unforgiven, in 1991, making movies to appeal to the liberal establishment in Hollywood because he felt (quite rightly) that he would never be accepted otherwise. And he swept it away in one night. He will never be nominated for another oscar again, he will have trouble getting funding for his movies. All you have to do is read the blog post of his “fan”, Roger Ebert, to see what’s coming.

Clint is apparently a closet libertarian, and showing up stoned at the Republican Convention was a stroke of genius. I can’t wait to get stoned myself, so I can finally appreciate what would otherwise seem to be a stuttering, rambling, one-joke monologue from a movie star trying to be important.
