Video: What’s Anonymous planning for the RNC?

posted at 5:31 pm on August 25, 2012 by Jazz Shaw

Even with the extensive security precautions being taken by authorities for the big convention in Tampa this week, tensions are still running high and everyone will need to be on their toes. There was a brief rumor making the rounds that aerial drones and armed, ground based robots would be in use. That story has since been shot down by the authorities, (no pun intended) but the story did highlight one area of concern which receiving a fair amount of scrutiny. (Emphasis mine.)

But police are expecting thousands of protesters to descend on the area for the convention, scheduled to kick off Sunday night with a party for media and delegates at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. The first sessions are scheduled for Monday and protests are expected throughout the event, set to run through Aug. 30, weather permitting.

Thursday, a new YouTube video, purportedly from the hacking collective known as Anonymous, surfaced, calling on protesters to disable surveillance cameras, jam police radio systems and tear down barricades. That video comes on the heels of one posted on YouTube last week saying that peaceful protest is passé.

We normally think of Anonymous in terms of hacking the websites of agencies, disrupting e-commerce and generally fighting any sort of battle which can be managed from behind a keyboard. But this is something different. Here’s the first of two videos purportedly from the hacker group. (As a side note, I would observe that if the people producing these videos would apply their technical skills to something productive, such as marketing, they might make a pretty good living. The technical quality isn’t bad at all.)

Anonymous RNC Battle Objectives Preparedness Plan

Toward the end, after laying out plans to disrupt police communications, tear down barriers and disable security cameras, the speaker begins to “deal with” the subject of large corporate offices in Tampa.

All over the city of Tampa there are corrupt corporate buildings. A map of the locations where these corporate places can be found at [website redacted]. These corporate places should be dealt with, but the small businesses should be left alone. Unless, of course, there is a Mitt Romney sticker in their window. Ha ha.

I wasn’t aware that buildings were corrupt, but there you go. We’ll finish up with another video allegedly released by the perpetrators. This one, once again, demonstrates some really remarkable production quality and marketing skills along with the overarching theme of anarchy and violence, cloaked in a veneer of caring about the common man. The bits about the RNC come toward the very end.

Stay on your toes out there and I’ll try to keep my eyes open while I’m in town.

The highest forecast wind speeds for Tampa are now on Monday and will be between 23 and 23 knots (226 to 49 MPH) and by midday Tuesday those will have dropped off to almost nada.

What are obama’s ANONYMOUS and OCCUPY planning for the RNC?

Well, we can’t be absolutely sure, but we do know that it will include (weather permitting) lots of graffiti, breaking windows, gang-raping of skanky hoes in tents, deficating on cop cars and lots and lots of unwashed, mask-wearing drug-addicts screaming about the 1% and demanding “free” FLUKETASTIC birth control and “free” late-term and post-birth abortion on demand.

The ‘obama campaign’ has gone off the rails and they’re beyond desperate – whatever they have planned during the GOP convention, we can be sure that it is going to be destructive, violent and ridiculous.

http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/2012/08/tropical-storm-isaac-crashes-party-crasher-joe-bidens-party-crashing

The Obama campaign just blasted out this advisory letting us know he’s cancelling his scheduled Republican National Committee gatecrash:

“Due to disaster preparedness and local security concerns, Vice President Biden’s trip to Tampa, Florida on Monday, August 27 for campaign events has been postponed. This change in schedule is being taken out of an abundance of caution to ensure that all local law enforcement and emergency management resources can stay focused on ensuring the safety of people who might be impacted by the storm, as well as those attending the activities in Tampa.

“Additional details and media logistics for the Vice President’s stops in Orlando and St. Augustine, Florida on August 28 are forthcoming and subject to change due to weather-related precautions.”

Sharing tactics in advance. That’s all anyone needs to know to assess the intellects of these vermin.

Also, I love how they still think that the “police brutality” they seek to generate still has the effect on most of the US public that it did in the 60s. These people are living in the past. Most people I know either cheer or are indifferent when we see these scum get taken down. How much backlash was there from the US public on the rare occasion when Occupiers got taken down by the police? Oh yeah, none.

But I guess that’s part of the white liberal mentality; they want to be hurt: If they’re not feeling physical pain, they’re not performing their proper “penance.”

While even groups that have strong central leadership do break apart, I think it’s more logical that already-existing anarchists put on Anon masks. If I had to make a guess, I think the second one is from Anonymous, while the first one would be reminded that Anon is not their personal army. Anonymous prefers electronic forms of protest because that’s where they are strong, or coming out en masse to bring the lulz by ridiculing their opponent, as they did with Scientology. More violent protest is normally eschewed. Expect them to show up with masks and signs and to answer any journalist’s questions, but anyone who wants to know what Anonymous is thinking can probably still just find their chatroom and ask. It’s not like they hide themselves online.

Anonymous and Occupy remind of of SPECTRE from the Bond novels.

It it too bad that we aren’t able to infiltrate and destroy these terrorist/anarchist organizations from within using the equivalent of “double O” agents, like James Bond.

None of our agents have a high enough tolerance for japanese cartoon tentacle rape-porn to hang out in their internet channels for very long.

What’s Anonymous planning for the RNC?

Knowing them, something foul and underhanded.

WTF? A couple years ago, I was asked not to mention 4Chan on the site. Now we’re doing articles on their (dis)organization?

Ah. It’s Jazz. Of course.

MadisonConservative on August 25, 2012 at 8:11 PM

just don’t put up stupid articles calling for the the persecution of anonymous and we will be fine.

nathor on August 25, 2012 at 8:52 PM

Presumably the building managers of the marked locations will take on extra security.

Guy Fawkes was a murdering terrorist, so the only safe way to deal with him is to shoot on sight.

Is the any basis for referring to anonymous as a “group”, rather than a “meme”?

I’m always amazed at the hand-wringing that goes on about them -

“oh no, how do we fight them when they’re so, decentralized. It’s like al Qaeda but ten times more scary!!

Is there any evidence that “anonymous” is anything other than a moniker employed by mischievous people of all stripes, from harmless pranksters to more dangerous people?

I once went to a message board that didn’t require registration. Over half the commenters were listed as “anonymous”. My God, they’re everywhere!!!

RINO in Name Only on August 25, 2012 at 9:09 PM

I absolutely have no regard for anyone who “protests” wearing a mask. It doesn’t matter if they are anarchists or racial provocatuers. IF YOU ARE GOING TO PROTEST BE UP FRONT ABOUT WHO YOU ARE.
JKotthoff

The mask started because the first protest was against Scientology, which has a history of litigation that Anonymous wanted to avoid. V for Vendetta was still fresh in everyone’s heads, the masks were cheap, and it made for a strong image. It’s just tradition now. Anonymous doesn’t always wear masks.
