“America doesn’t need a birther-in-chief”? Are we really going there?

posted at 2:31 pm on August 25, 2012 by Erika Johnsen

Of course we knew that the Obama campaign was going to release a statement of faux outrageous outrage after Romney’s birth-certificate joke on Friday morning, and of course all the libs will be up in arms on the news for the rest of the weekend, taking this as another chance to lament and bemoan the lack of moderation in a party now dominated by crazy right-wing extremists — oh, the humanity! But nobody seriously thinks that Romney was “directly enlisting” himself in the birther movement with the now-infamous one-liner, do they? And I didn’t think the Obama campaign would seize on this too much as an actual issue, lest they end up looking silly themselves.

But I was wrong. So wrong.

“Holding out hope Romney had a vision for the middle class? THINK AGAIN.

Le sigh. I underestimated their desperation for distractions and their commitment to their denigrate-Romney’s-character-at-all-costs modus operandi, no matter how unserious and lame the charge. The beatings will continue until morale improves.

And anyone complaining about Romney at this point (who aren’t hired Obamasodomites on the White House basement forum slam teams) are like the malcontent lefties who kept the Saddamonites fighting for years and years with their Bush attacks all day and night.

Same thing here because (A) we’re in a culture war up to our necks and (B) you’re/they’re fomenting support for the enemy now because Obama’s the enemy of America and the Utopian leader of their wetdream dancing unicorn, rainbow filled Handoutistan. If he doesn’t go America does.

It’s either Mitt Romney or Jugears at this point period. Paul ain’t taking the convention over and blah blah blah.

Anyone who would pick Obama the ghettodestroyer over a man who’s never made a financial mistake nearly in his life should shoot themselves right in the head with 2 handguns… one from each side for mutual self destuction.

I think Romney should call Obama’s bluff and state there is forensic evidence proving Obama’s credentials are fraudulent and file a civil suit against Obama as not being eligible to be his opponent providing the evidence Arpaio’s investigation compiled. Romney has standing to do this. Let Obama bluff his way out of a professional forensic examination of his evidence of his birth certificate, draft card, and social security number. Obama has never let his paperwork (not electronic PDF copies of it) be examined by any forensic examiners. All the professional forensic examination of his credentials show him to be ineligible. Snopes, Obama’s Web Site, do not count as a forensic examination. Hawaii official statements are irrelevant for what they’re talking about and what Obama’s released to the public are not necessarily the same set of documents. Furthermore, the legal requirements to be a legal resident of Hawaii when Obama was born are not the same legal requirements to be a Natural Born Citizen under the constitution, so that makes Hawaii official statements irrelevant.

I have always thought the GOP is 99.9% full of wimps. The way the GOP is responding to Obama’s ridicule proves it.

Conversely, it can only be helpful to mess with the composure of a thin-skinned narcissist like Barky. Nothing heavy, nothing prolonged. Drop a little joke like this and move on. Nothing that directly mentions Barky, but topics about which Barky is conspicuous by his silence.

Touch any of those topics that have become sacrosanct-for-no-good-reason. How about having Mitt make a little joke about his own college grades, or introduce an old buddy from the crowd that lived in his dorm in college or grad school? A teacher or prof that he liked? Any of those “untouchable”, mystery areas that Barky keeps hidden. Keep the dems in reactive mode, with topics that they just can’t actually react to.

Alinsky would love it (at least he would if it was moving in the other direction.)

Another angle we are all missing. Back in 2008, some of the earliest Birthers were Democrat supporters of Hillary!

UK Telegraph

Birther row began with Hillary Clinton

The lie that Barack Obama was not born in the US has been fuelled by fringe Republicans — but supporters of Hillary Clinton, now Mr Obama’s Secretary of State, are largely to blame for starting it.

-snip-

It was not until April 2008, at the height of the intensely bitter Democratic presidential primary process, that the touch paper was properly lit.

An anonymous email circulated by supporters of Mrs Clinton, Mr Obama’s main rival for the party’s nomination, thrust a new allegation into the national spotlight — that he had not been born in Hawaii.

“Barack Obama’s mother was living in Kenya with his Arab-African father late in her pregnancy,” it said. “She was not allowed to travel by plane then, so Barack Obama was born there and his mother then took him to Hawaii to register his birth.” Then in August 2008 Phil Berg, an ex-deputy attorney general for Pennsylvania and a renowned conspiracy theorist, filed a lawsuit alleging that Mr Obama was ineligible to be a candidate.

“Obama carries multiple citizenships and is ineligible to run for President of the United States. United States Constitution, Article II, Section 1,” it said.

But of course, Hillary Herself had nothing to do with it…

The crazy thing about hardcore Birthers that some on the Left fail to understand is that they don’t limit their Birtherism to Obama. According to many, Romney and Rubio are both ineligible to run for President even though they were both born in the United States and, in former’s case, to American citizens at the time.

That’s right! Because George Romney was born in Mexico to American citizens, he was not a “natural born” American citizen; thus, he was incapable of passing on American citizenship to his son, who was born in Michigan. Even if their argument was legally correct as to George, it is moot with regard to Mitt since he was born on American soil, which in and of itself makes him a citizen. The same is true about Rubio. He was born on American soil and the citizenship status of his parents is irrelevant. They were here legally…not that such matters anyway under the law as it stands.

If you have ever read Townhall.com, you would have seen Mitt and Rubio’s alleged “ineligibility” discussed ad nauseam during the primaries.

Yes, America is better than “Birtherism,” which by the way was started by Democrats, but it should also learn how to take a joke.
