Erm, the concern is the seller not the buyer. Ergo “as a practical matter” you’re completely wrong. Demand is finite. Sure it’s dynamic with price, but greater supply leads to lower prices. If the U.S. needs to buy 2 barrels of oil, wouldn’t we rather buy 1 from Iran and 1 from domestic suppliers for $4 each rather than giving a full $10 to get both from Iran and fund their terror? Hmmm $4 of funding terror, or $10 of funding terror… totally “fungible” amiright?? Or maybe the difference between domestic and foreign oil exists and matters.

Government needs to get the heck out of Energy it has no place in Energy except to make sure Nuclear Reactors are safe enough to not blow up.

Get rid of all subsidies. They have no place in a free society. They are the opposite of freedom. Either the compete or they do not. Ethanol is the worse you lose 10% mileage with 10% of this crap in your gas. Small engines will not even work with it as it plugs them up. It is a complete utter joke on every American. It sure makes someone rich but the rest of us pay for it. We all pay it truly is Robin Hood in reverse. Steal from all Americans to make a few rich people even richer.

Paul Ryan is against solar energy because he wants to steal all of the sunshine from the Sunshine State–which will render my taxpayer-subsidized solar panels inoperative.

I use Obama’s ” energy policy” to prove to my lefty relatives that he is a jihady, and it always shuts them up :
Obama obstructs oil exploration and refining in USA so that we keep buying oil from islamic countries. While he is doing everything to keep the funding for jihad going, he loots the treasury to fund his bundlers, after a commission for himself ofcourse , which is another form of jihad .
I wish more people in USA could see it this way .
