Video: DNC Chair “doesn’t know” party affiliation of Obama Super PAC

posted at 2:01 pm on August 12, 2012 by Jazz Shaw

I’ll confess right up front that I’m a big fan of Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She is endlessly entertaining (in a completely unintentional way) and her staggering blunders and fantastic statements do a great deal to promote the unserious nature of the DNC in many things. She is, in an ironic sort of way, one of the greatest gifts that the GOP has received in quite some time.

But even given all of that, one of her most recent interviews on Fox News may just win some sort of award for the Silliest Thing Said in Politics for the week. Take a look.

Host: Should the Democrats be releasing an ad that accuses a presidential candidate of being responsible, through inference, of being responsible for a woman’s death?

DWS: First of all, that’s a Priorities USA ad.

Host: I understand…

DWS: It’s a priorities USA Super PAC ad…

Host: Correct

DWS: … and we have nothing to do with it.

Host: Do you deny that they’re Democrats?

DWS: I have no idea of the political affiliation of the folks associated with that Super PAC.

Host: So, Bill Burton, who used to work in the White House, who worked for the Obama campaign in 2008? Not a Democrat?

DWS: That is a Super PAC ad, not affiliated with the party or the campaign.

Okay, Ms. Wasserman Schultz. We get it. Everyone in both campaigns has to pretend they aren’t coordinating with their friends, colleagues and relatives in the Super PACs to avoid running afoul of the law. (A law, by the way, which is working brilliantly, as long as none of the tens of thousands of political operatives, candidates and elected officials living today would ever consider being dishonest or deliberately obfuscatory.) But you’re seriously going to sit there on national TV and claim that you have no clue about the party affiliation of Bill Burton? You remember Bill, right? The former White House Deputy Press Secretary? I’m guessing this little episode has something to do with a new hashtag trending on Twitter… #DebbieDoesntKnow

Or perhaps the stress of the campaign trail is taking a toll on your memory. Try to take it easy for a while, Ms. Chairwoman. Remember… a mind is a terrible thing to baste.

This vile woman would not survive politically for one second if the pro-Democrat Media gave her the kind of scrutiny that it gives Republicans. She is not only repulsive personally; she is repulsive from an intellectual standpoint. Can we not fund her opposition and get rid of this imbecile?

Unfreakin’ believable.

The only two people who seem to see an ad talking about “consequences” and not some union hack implying that Mitt Romney killed his wife are Burton and DWS. And that is offensive because it makes clear that Democrats think the public is too stupid to see what that ad actually says.

And while on the subject, the second line of defense is to claim that there is some sort of equivilency between the Mitt Romney killed my wife ad and the Obama gutted welfare ad. There isn’t and for that ugly poodle-faced partisan whore to make the claim also points to the fact that Dems don’t respect the public.

Happy Nomad on August 12, 2012 at 2:17 PM

The informed voter that listens to her know she lies, but that will not swing their vote. The low-informed voter that happens to watch MTP will only hear the words from her and never receive any follow-up regarding the truth.

That is why Obama, Biden, Reid, Pelosi, DWS, and all the rest can lie and push their messaging with more lies. The low-informed voter will only get their messaging in low-doses from the MSM.

Telling the truth won’t lead to voters in their column. Lie’s, lie’s and more lie’s are the instrument’s of their success.

Just another thing we can thank John McCain for. Personally, I’d like all of this out in the open, you can’t hide the donors names, you can’t hide the coordination, just do it and take credit for it. Bill Burton, I guess to his credit, doesn’t back away from this ad, although he claims they weren’t insinuating that Romney killed the woman, the point is the Bill Burton used to work in the White House. Are we to believe he never talks to anyone in the White House any more? Are we to believe the White House doesn’t talk to him any more? Let’s just get rid of the wink-wink and then the President will actually have to take responsiblity for an ad like this instead of claiming he doesn’t know anything about it.

As for Wasserman-Schultz, I’m amazed the people in her district just don’t have the need for better representation than they’re getting from her. What sort of cooperation can she get from people, to fulfill the needs of her district, when all she does is demean and try to destroy the majority party. It wouldn’t be bad if she were telling the truth, but lying the way she does and then trying to claim she’s representing her district is just a joke.

Tape playback must have been brutal. There’s a little game going on where everybody pretends that there is this firewall between the PACs and the campaigns. But of course, when you have Stephanie Cutter claiming she never even met a guy she interviewed in May who “coincidentally” was wearing the same shirt- Obama’s people knew what Burton produced before it hit the airwaves.

Whenever DWS escapes from her terrarium to appear on political shows, she brings with her an unnatural ability to focus completely on the lie at hand. That she has reached this pinnacle of success without a shred of humanity speaks volume for her party and their goal of keeping the lowest level of public discourse possible. Sure it’s entertaining…in a freak show sort of way…to watch someone lie so ineptly and so automatically, but it’s not really something that young children should be exposed to.

It is a little more insidious than that. They released that “Romney killed my wife ad” then Burton went on television and actually made the claim that the ad didn’t say what it clearly did. For what it is worth, that ad got “Worst week in Washington” honors in the WaPo today. And they pretty much summed up the situation accurately with even a mention that Wolf Blitzer called the ad misleading. That kind of honesty is rare in the WaPo so you can tell just how low even Democrats think that ad was. And Democrats have absolutely no scruples.

I think they’re RATTLED. Rich Lowry handed Rachel Maddow’s head to her this morning on Meet the Press. That CBO report on how ObamaCare cut $716 Billion from Medicare? They can’t refute it; it’s a big problem because it’s just the tip of the iceberg of cuts. There’s a full court press going on right now to inform voters about Ryan-Wyden Medicare Reform, and Ryan’s budgets.

CBO Reports That ObamaCare Cuts $716 Billion From Medicare:

A new Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report hikes the ten-year Medicare cuts contained in Obamacare from around $575 billion to $716 billion.

These cuts are reductions in what the government will reimburse medical facilities to take on Medicare patients. For the past few years, automatic cuts in these payments have been stalled in what has become known as the “doc fix.”

According to the report, current law under Obamacare would result in a $260 billion payment cut for hospital services, $39 billion payment cut for skilled nursing services, $17 billion payment cut for hospice services, $66 billion payment cut for home health services and a $33 billion payment cut for all other services.

In other words, these savings have failed to materialize.

Of course, should Obamacare stay in force and these reductions to health care providers go into effect, seniors on Medicare will find significantly fewer options for health care available to them

The Medicare Trustees report in 2012 estimates reductions in reimbursement rates will cause 15% of hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies to operate at a loss by 2019, 25 percent to operate at a loss in 2030, and 40 percent by 2050.

These facilities will either have to close or will have to stop taking Medicare patients in order to remain open.

There will also be a a further $145 billion in cuts for payments to Disproportionate Share Hospitals (DSH) that care for large numbers of poor patients, along with unspecified cuts in other services.

Additionally, the CBO shows Obamacare slices $156 billion from the popular Medicare Advantage (MA) program. Right now, about 27% of Medicare recipients take advantage of the MA program to access more or different care than the traditional Medicare package allows.

By 2017, about half of current MA patients will be forced to abandon MA and re-enroll in the traditional Medicare plan. A House Ways and Means Committee report jacks the Obamacare cuts in the MA program to $308 billion.

Medicare patients, already facing the exhaustion of the Medicare trust fund by 2024, also must cope with the redirection of Obamacare’s 31% increase in the Medicare payroll tax — not into Medicare, but into paying for Obamacare.

Roughly $318 billion will be collected from Obamacare’s hike from 2.9% to 3.8% of income subject to Medicare tax. This windfall will be used to offset other Obamacare expenses and notbe used to fund Medicare benefits.

Seniors can expect big changes in Medicare as a result of Obamacare. Most likely, they will face a severe shortage in medical facilities willing to accept them as patients and they will lose some of the coverage options they currently enjoy.

You all keep picking on Debbie Whatshername Schultz for her looks…be honest she is not that bad for an 82 year old senile senior citizen. She works hard on her looks since she can not get ahead on her brains or personality

I took a good look at DWS today and her face looks bloated. Given the state of her hair, the harsh makeup, the bags and lines under her eyes, I’m wondering if she’s been drinking. Its either that, or, she’s really that exhausted trying to come up with lies to cover for the obvious ineptitude and despicable tactics being employed by her party.

She has a special blender that allows her to make smoothies that are made from rusty nails, jackal guts, and ACORN stationary.

He praises Paul Ryan while knocking liberals for irresponsibly avoiding the unsustainability of entitlements and the fiscal cliff.

I thought it was very complimentary.

To each her own.

And yet, he will continue supporting liberals who are irresponsibly avoiding the unsustainable of entitlements and the fiscal cliff. I found his article patronizing as Hell, and all too similar to liberals’ phony praise of McCain.

I really have no use for dilettantes like Galetan.
