Videos: Paul Ryan is totally ready for his close-up

posted at 2:01 pm on August 11, 2012 by Erika Johnsen

Jazz already posted speech excerpts and some past videos of Paul Ryan’s prosperity-promotin’ badassery, but just for good measure and if you’re not yet feeling the excitement, here are a few more.

Below is the full video of Romney and Ryan rolling out the Comeback Team earlier this morning — I think Ryan might’ve been a tad bit nervous at first, but overall a very assuring speaker, no?

Solid. So, on to a some flashbacks: Remember that time Ryan absolutely tore ObamaCare to shreds, right to President Obama’s face? That was fun.

So bold, so brash. And then there was the time Paul Ryan annihilated President Obama’s proposals to hike taxes on the wealthy, in about ninety seconds.

In a nutshell, the Democrats’ class-warmongering amounts to not even a drop in the bucket of bringing down our national deficit, and would do untold harm to economic growth to boot. Kind of makes it all the more galling that hiking taxes on the wealthy is pretty much Obama’s central campaign platform right now, doesn’t it?

And if you’re looking for further proof of Paul Ryan’s excellent fiscal, economic, and budgetary expertise, you’ll enjoy this little takedown.

Yep, I’d say we can definitely work with that — and how!

JPeterman on August 11, 2012 at 2:12 PM

People are thinking way too linearly about this. The test for Ryan isn’t whether he drools while giving his first days set of speeches. It’s how he responds when a planeful of NYT reporters digging through Janesville dumpsters challenges his paternity of his kids. It’s how he deals with mercenary Romney staffers start fragging him the press anonymously because he outshines Mitt.

gumble on August 11, 2012 at 2:24 PM

By the way… the only reason the MSM and the Democrats ( I know… same thing) won’t go after Ryan’s children is that THEY ARE TOO YOUNG. No story there and nothing they can fabricate.

They will, however, undoubtedly try to go after his wife, Janna. She is from Oklahoma. She is a tax attorney.

It really doesn’t matter what the Democrats do at this point. The fact is that Obama has an abysmal record that he cannot defend. He has no viable plan, either from the standpoint of foreign policy or domestic policy, for the next four years to put forth. He is an abject failure and an empty suit.

Romney and Ryan are ALL about the future of this nation. They actually have viable plans, in foreign policy as well as domestic policy, to advance this nation, mend the economy, and return this nation to prosperity.

Voters are people, and people are naturally drawn to competence, confidence, and success. ROMNEY/RYAN epitomize competence, confidence, and success.

I am wiling to bet that the announcement of when Mitt’s VP would be announced kept Obama up all night. All the cable news shows went live, MSNBC was still live shortly before 3 am when I decided to go to sleep. Andrea MItchell brought up all the things Paul would be subject to, his college years, did he do drugs? Why didn’t Andrea ask these questions to Obama when he was running? What is it about those college years that he’s paid to hide?

INTHEMIDDLE why does Obama hate women?

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/780000-more-women-unemployed-today-when-obama-took-office

(CNSNews.com) – The number of women unemployed in June was 5,785,000, an increase of 780,000 from when Barack Obama was inaugurated in January 2009 – at that time, the number of unemployed women in the United States was 5,005,000

The impending issues with Medicare and SS were predicted in the 80s, while the Dems stopped any chance of discussion, let alone doing anything. Thanks to Obama, the tipping point is much closer in time.

Hopefully a Romney/Ryan win, with a Republican Congress, can get the problems fixed before it all comes crashing down.

It will be entertaining to watch how your attempts to force churches to pay for abortions pans out with the overwhelming majority of Americans who oppose exactly that.

You seem to be banking on most American women being as ignorant as you are and believing that murdering a baby is the only way to prevent pregnancy.

And the more that you slander women who refuse abortion and who actually exercise control over their own body, the more you demonstrate that abortion is little more than a power trip for desperate white liberals like yourself.
